@joy-caroline Thank you! It’s probably going to be a long time before I’m done with it (my longest standalone planned to date) but I’ll definitely let you know!

@keilah-h Oo, nice! Ah, I think one reason I like it so much is because of all the emotions that each character brings me, from Sam and his dad to Rinzler and Clu… It makes me want to cry, especially the ending part.

@akbaer Sounds interesting! I have several at the moment (too many), but lately I’ve been working on a short story about a villain with a conscience.

@zatara Hi there! Welcome to the forum! I’m Linyang, though most call me Lin, and I enjoy writing fantasy/slice-of-life/crime/time travel stories. We’re so happy to have you here!
Ay, the only superhero movies I’ve able to fully enjoy is The Dark Knight trilogy by Christopher Nolan (probably because I’m a big Nolan fan), but I’d love to see more…[Read more]

@joy-caroline I don’t…actually…plot out Lies… I don’t like following the character arc template either, since it feels too constraining to me… If I do anything it is all purely by accident, since that’s the way I work.
Ahem. Anyways. Upon further examination of my stuff, I have realised that there are some characters who start out…[Read more]

If I did this I think I’d release the story as a series of shorts. (That way it wouldn’t be one long arduous process, but one that I’ll be making progress with and still get the story across)

So guess this is where I should post this.
When I think up story and book ideas the scenes usually play out like movie scenes in my mind. That being said, the other day the scenes popped into my mind of a book idea called Tempest that I have.
That being said, this one line and these scenes popped out and I was like “WOW this would be so so so i…[Read more]

@kathleenramm Ah, I’ve heard that the best stories are all written by people who’ve suffered. So, well, I guess when we’re going through trials, we can see it as something good for our writing.
Me… I’ve had times where I didn’t write, usually burnout. But never really fallen out of love with it, like I do with piano. I mean, maybe there have…[Read more]

”Sounds like fun!”

“Hello one and all!”
”Ready boy?” (Omit) “Well then, let’s give them a show they won’t forget!

“Thorne, we came to talk.” Lyn called out, standing on her tiptoes, as if that would help her voice carry. A muffled reply proceeded from the back. She groaned, walking to the entrance of the other room and motioning for the others to follow, which they did.
November glanced back once more at the knife sticking from the wood.
