Oh that sounds SOO cool! I’d totally read that! That’s cool that you write with your sister too! I have 4 siblings, but none of them like to write XD. Although, my little brother is one of my main beta readers, which has been interesting lol.
That’s awesome! I haven’t written many short stories (mostly cuz when I do, they end up…[Read more]

It is confusing. But somewhere I heard that apparently if your book is set in some other world it atomaticaly becomes Fantasy. Whether or not that is true, it was helpful, at least to this beginning writer.
I don’t have anything against the type of magic in Narnia and Wingfeather, where ‘magic’ really just means God’s power…[Read more]

Yeah, it’s not really plagiarism…. I just have a talent for unwittingly using names others have either used or used similar ones. The funniest thing, is that the names aren’t usually common. I make them up myself.
Ah, that blissful book! There have been many times I’ve quoted the Hermit to myself….

Ah yes, I write somewhere in that vague genre of medieval fantasy. Do you include magic or not? I honestly didn’t think I was in the afore mentioned genre as there is none in my books. But lo and behold, I am somewhere in there alright. -

Thank you!!!
It is rather crazy.
*Starting to wonder if I have a talent for accidental plagiarism or if this is just another mad coincidence. Then realises what the Hermit of the Southern March would say to that, and shuts mouth.*

@trahia-the-minstrel Yes!! It’s so hard for me to move into writing a new book, editing is one of my favorite parts. I feel like it’s easier to see the light at the end of the tunnel when I’m almost done editing, you know? Like all the effort is about to pay off, because I’m almost done with the project, and it’ll be published soon or something…[Read more]

haha, I’ve got that exact thing. Zyla is crying and Kedja does scream.
The only reason that Kedja can get Zyla to leave her is that they are using Zyla to try to get Kedja to work for them by torturing Zyla (yeah manipulative evil people). Kedja can’t bear it anymore and has to get Zyla free because she can’t bear that so…[Read more]

@devastate-lasting
True. Where do all those Eastern Dragons be tho?True. True. I actually liked the three introductions when I first read it too. I thought it was a deliberate poke at all the fantasy clichés. I hoped the story would be a somewhat fun yet heartfelt parody of the common fantasy stories. However, the rest of…[Read more]

Thanks! I’ll look into that:). My local library has some manga, but really it’s just some popular anime stuff, usually adapted into manga.

@trahia-the-minstrel I’ve read the whole of Assassination Classroom and I agree that the content/humor can get very. Um. Yeah. But also the overall story and themes are really good, so I view it in a positive light. Dr. Stone I’ve gotten a lot of ads for, but haven’t watched it yet.
