QuicksilverWyvern

  • I’d say keep the draft. It could be fun to look back on. I still have a few of my first books around (just not that one, *shivers at the bad writing*), and it’s fun to occasionally look back.

  • Nice! They both sound intriguing. I hope I’ll have time to read anything you put on here.

No matter how bad you think your first novel is, trust me, it is nowhere as bad as mine, lol. My first book (it was really short, probably shouldn’t even call it a book, lol) was a complete trash practice novel to. I wrote it when I was in 3rd grade, I…[Read more]

  • Hello, Evie! It’s nice to meet you. I’m new here as well. As of last week, I believe. School’s been so busy I can’t keep up with my own life timeline, lol. My name is QuicksilverWyvern (though you can just call me Quicksilver or Wyvern, I don’t mind) and I like to write mostly epic fantasy with hints of other genres. I also have a ridiculous…[Read more]

“Hello. It’s nice to meet you.” Paul reclines in his chair, not sloppily, but as someone who has been wearied with age. His red eyes are sharp with attention, though combined with his almost skeletal appearance and scar on his forehead, most would consider the expression menacing.

“I’m from a small little town inside a hardly larger valley. Where…[Read more]

  • Nice! I think I’ve heard of that program before. Out of curiosity, what were the books you wrote about?

  • Hello, Wren! My name is QuicksilverWyvern (though you can just call me Quicksilver or Wyvern, I don’t mind) and I like to write mostly epic fantasy with hints of other genres. I also have a ridiculous amount of other hobbies, though I’m definitely not equally great at all of them, lol! My dream job is to be an author and eventually a…[Read more]

  • Yeah, the books are definitely targeted towards elementary to middle school boys, lol. I read them up to book four, but then Toothless started to annoy me too much to bother keeping on reading them. I would say HTTYD is one of the rare instances where I like the movie version better than the book.

Hello, Quarterstaffgirl! I don’t believe I have introduced myself yet. • Ah, yes, the balance between sweet milky and dark chocolate. Perfection.

The Cooper Kids’ Adventures is kind of like a creepy, thrilling, Christian Indiana Jones about two kids and their archeologist dad. It’s really good. Would totally recommend.

I believe I have heard of the author you mentioned, but I don’t believe I have read any of her works.

  • I’ve watched the Gerald Butler movie adaptation. I really like! (Phantom is my favorite musical.) The only thing I thought could have been done better was the last song, “Down to the Dungeons.” I feel like the director tried to make the Phantom more “emotional” in that song by having him cry and sound upset, but in my personal opinion that broke…[Read more]

  • Oh! Frank Peretti! He wrote the Cooper Kids’ Adventures! I love those books!!! He’s a great author! I haven’t finished the entire series yet, but the next three are waiting in my reading basket for me to pick them up.

    I love chocolate.

  • Haha! Nice. When you say HTTYD, do you mean the movies or books? I literally just watched the first movie again, lol. I’ve read the first few books too, though.

  • Hello, Liberty! I’m a gal, or preferably a swordswoman. In the future I hope to own an entertainment business that does publishing, games, graphic novels, television, and film. Writing has been my calling ever since I was in elementary school, and my goal in writing is to glorify God through excellent and meticulous craft.

  • Nice! Love throwing the tantrum. Doing that stuff in D&D is fun. I really like how you explain how she came by her class. It’s great when backgrounds explain that!

  • I love this idea! Only problem is I don’t know what character to submit, lol. Hmm…I’ll submit Paul (that’s his nickname–full name is Paulomaroes). He’s a fifty-six-year-old man whose made preparing for the next great siege of evil monsters his life’s ambition ever since his traumatic childhood.

  • Ah, yes. The four-legged, two-winged western dragons get all the attention. People always forget there’s also wyverns and wyrms, drakes and amphipteres, sea-serpents and hyrdras, and of course little fairy dragons and the eastern dragons. I credit my many-faceted fantasy reptile knowledge to an excellent book I read on drawing dragons. I promise…[Read more]

That inn sounds like it’s from one of my dreams, please make it some day. I’d live in a sort of fantasy palace as well. That line is great! Well put! I’ll have to read some of the work you’ve put on the site when I can find time. Love the name of it.

  • Hi, Stellybean! I know, there’s so many people to get to know here right now. I’m sure it’ll become easier to track in the coming weeks once we’re talking and memorizing users more consistently.

I have two D&D characters for ongoing campaigns I’m in, and one I made for a one-shot last Tuesday I plan to re-use. For that character, I took the meme…[Read more]

  • Hello! I’d love to share a summary! The book I finished the first draft of this summer is about a young king who, after winning the revolution, was secretly usurped and has been held up in his palace for forty years while his Region Lords try to find a way to rob him of the unique magic powers he has before they end him. The head of the Region…[Read more]
