I’m not exactly new to the site, I was around when it started (married one of the original cofounders ;)) But I am new to the group that is here, so I thought I’d introduce myself.
I’m a pretty radical disciple of Christ, severe trauma survivor, homeschooling mom to five kids, devoted coffee enthusiast, and a wildly creative person.
My fiction writing has been on the fritz and I’ve only recently picked it back up more seriously with the hopes of taking my traumatic experiences and weaving them into some interesting novels.
My husband and I also have a band together and we’re slowly eking out songs.
Oh, and I have a trauma coaching brand.
Little question: who would be interested in a Christian fantasy horror novel?
October 15, 2026 at 5:35 pm #214406Hiiiiiiiii!!! Nice to meet you, I’m Stellybean but you can call me Stelly or Stellybean or just A Bean.
I… am one of five kids, so I know firsthand that we’re borderline insane. 😝
That sounds like a really cool genre, since it breaks most typical expectations of a “Christian” book! Personally, I can’t read or watch horror because it scares me, but I know lots of people who would be really interested in that!

October 15, 2026 at 9:48 pm #214445Well hi there, Stellybean. Love your username. 😀 How did you come up with that??
FUN!!! Where are you at in the lineup? Oldest, middle? Yes, it is insane, but I wouldn’t trade it for the world. I’ve loved being a parent. 😀
Haha! Yes, it does. Many years (feels like lifetimes) ago I would have said those two things could not exist. But I’ve lived horror and I think it can be written in a relatable way. I’m not sure just how horror-y I want to write it, could be more psychological…But it’s also a coming of age story. So. Yeah, never written this genre so I’m new at this. haha!
October 15, 2026 at 10:00 pm #214450Awww thanks! Alas, I am not responsible for it. It’s the nickname that my friends came up for me, and I really liked it. 😂
IIIII am the second youngest. Child number four. I get to experience the great joys of being a younger AND an older sibling. It’s really annoying (and lacking in personal space) at times, but I’d still take it over being an only child.
I think it’s great! New genres are always interesting. My current project is throwing me for a loop, since I can’t quite place the genre in my brain. I hope I’ll see your Christian-Horror book on shelves one day! 😁

October 15, 2026 at 11:37 pm #214457Hi! It’s nice to meet one of the originals. I was so convinced for a while that all the old kp people were gone forever. A fantasy horror book sounds really interesting! I really think that the horror genre needs more Christian authors in it. It has the potential for very powerful storytelling. I also have a fantasy story that has some horror elements, though that wasn’t my original intention when I started writing it.
What kind of music do you make and also where can I listen to it? I’m always looking for new music to listen to. It’s awesome that you get to do that with your husband.

October 16, 2026 at 1:49 pm #214478Hello! It’s great to meet you. I’m Beth, and I’ve been on KP for… two years I think? Maybe three. I can’t remember, lol!
I think a Christian horror novel would be interesting. I could never read secular horror, as I find it too disturbing… but I’d give Christian horror a try, since I’d assume that there would be a Christ-centered message to go along with it.

October 16, 2026 at 6:40 pm #214482Hey! Glad to see you back!
I’d not read Horror, Christian or other. XD
And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who couldn't hear the music
October 16, 2026 at 7:15 pm #214486Hello! My name is QuicksilverWyvern (though you can just call me Quicksilver or Wyvern, I don’t mind) and I like to write mostly epic fantasy with hints of other genres. I also have a ridiculous amount of other hobbies, though I’m definitely not equally great at all of them, lol! My dream job is to be an author and eventually a business-owner.
I believe I would be in the target audience for a Christian fantasy horror novel!
There once was a snail who was depressed and would do anything for his girlfriend. Didn't end well.
October 20, 2026 at 1:06 pm #214575Hi! I’m The Ducktator! I’m the eldest of six homeschooled kids. It’s the best. XD I might be interested in a Christian fantasy horror novel someday. I haven’t read any horror yet. My dad is trying to convince me to get into it but I’m scared. XD

October 20, 2026 at 10:29 pm #214590Hello! So glad to meet you! (sorry this is a late response) We have been desperately needing a dark overlord in these parts.
I’m Elishavet, lover of history, stories, and beautiful things. (like perriwinkle blue evenings, Psalm 27, and hot chai) If I’m not writing an essay or a poem on dewy grass, it’s my WIP with darling characters who keep trying to 1. offer their friends food, 2. Die. That is, if I’m writing.
I am not your target audience. XD Suffice it to say I would not benefit from it. The concept is interesting, though. Would it have a happy ending or would it be a tragedy?
Still a ChaosGremlin™ on the inside.
