E. K. Seaver started the topic Free Christian Dystopian Book in the forum Publishing & Platform 2 years, 9 months ago
Okay so that title is a touch clickbait-y but also mostly true. The Reflections is a YA Christian Dystopian releasing April 8th. Advanced Reader Copy signups are available here. I only have 10 copies to send out because of my budget, but if you have 300 or more followers on any social platform, you might be able to get a cop…[Read more]

Issabelle Perry replied to the topic My Series Keeps Growing! in the forum Fantasy 2 years, 10 months ago
To be honest, I’ve never totally gone through this problem. At one time when I first started writing, I did a little bit but I never stuck with a story long enough that it mattered. XD My current series, The Heir Saga, is probably the one book I am the most in love with and is closest to my heart, but after the end of book…[Read more]

E. K. Seaver replied to the topic What Kind of Writing do You Excel at? in the forum General Writing Discussions 2 years, 11 months ago
Generally, the kind of writing I’m best at is the one where you open the computer and put words onto a blank google doc. However, of course, I’m also open to the kind involving finding secret journals I misplaced and documenting the darkest of human emotions.

YESS!!! I had actually watched two before number one, but it’s been a while since I’ve seen it, so I DEFINITELY need to do a re-watch too.

Okay, cool. Honestly, I don’t care if you like it or not. It will not offend me either way. Like whatever you want book-wise. You don’t have to rest any case.

You’re good. Yes, I did get the email!! Sorry for my late response. The weekend was busy and then school slammed on me right after that, but I plan to be catching up to all my emails this evening. *GASPS*Â EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE I AM SOOOOOOO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Issabelle Perry replied to the topic Which story was the quickest to write and which was the slowest? in the forum Topic of the Week 3 years ago
Shortest story to write: That’d be the first novel I completed at like 12 years old. I wrote it in a month, and I have no idea how long it was, probably less than 50K but maybe not. I wrote it by hand, and I was probably able to finish it so quickly because I had a lot of free time on my hands. I was homeschooled with few other hobbies, y’all.…[Read more]

Of course!!! 🙂
THEY ARE!!!!! I’ve seen one and two. Oooo that’s a hard one. I don’t know if I can pick one. I really LOVED number one because Shane Harper was in it, but then again, I just adored the plotline of number two following the teacher. I don’t think I can pick. XD I’m just gonna say both of them. Which one’s your favorite?

Okay, so I’m probably just going to repeat what everyone else has already said since I only skimmed a few of the replies. yeah, I’m lazy. 😂
But I TOTALLY get your question. This is something I’ve been wondering about a lot lately actually. And actually, in my novel, Heir to His Crown, there is a rebellion group that my main character…[Read more]

E. K. Seaver replied to the topic How do I make a non-cliche escape scene? in the forum Plotting 3 years ago
Funnily enough I’m writing a prison escape scene in my book too. The prison is on the top of the mountain, and of the two people escaping, one knows where they’re going and the other doesn’t. I feel like it’s fairly interesting having the POV character being forced to rely on the already somewhat untrustworthy informed character. They…[Read more]

That’s a GREAT question!!! And actually, I’m in desperate need of some help in this area too with my novel. 😅 So I don’t know how much help I’ll be, but a few things I’m trying to remember with my scene (but seriously, if you guys have ANY tips, I need some too) is to (1) see what everyone else is doing and just… don’t do thatÂ
that…[Read more] -

I’ve just recently been introduced to urban fantasy, so I haven’t ever read any books, as knowledge serves, that are in that genre. (I believe I heard someone say @e-k-seaver novella The House That Didn’t End was urban fantasy. I *sniffs* sadly haven’t gotten my copy yet, but I think it’ll be REALLY epic!!!)
Anyway, urban fantasy’s…[Read more]

@not-so-secret-secret-assassin dude there’s literally so many ways to get around that. You could have a sibling/friend/parent take you. The gym could be in your neighborhood so you just drive a golf cart. It might be near enough to walk or ride a bike to.
Your mind games will not work on me. I’ve orchestrated my own for years.

@not-so-secret-secret-assassin Book one isn’t that good. Even Peterson himself has expressed displeasure for it. I wasn’t a fan until books three and four. Those were solid and the worldbuilding was complete enough that it’s where the story was fully in swing.
