I’m going to take a break to eat some breakfast. :05 – :07, 747 words. Last line:
Then he turned away, sprinting down the street.
Sooo probably the most boring sentence of the entire scene that I just wrote 😛

Hello friends!
I hope everyone is doing well <3
So, long story short, I’m attempting to “get back into” reading. It’s been a long while since I’ve read regularly for pleasure (I blame being an English major in college–it’s difficult to find the mental space for a “fun” book when you’re floundering through various reading lists, you see), and I…[Read more]

Tolkien forevaaa… I actually got fairly far in learning Sindarin (elven language), and o_o it was tough… eventually gave up and just learned how to use the tengwar (elven scripty thing).
Out of those three… Ella Minnow Pea is a very amusing read, told through postal correspondence, where letters of the alphabet are progressively…[Read more]

Hi y’all! Ready for the first lesson?
So, before we begin, why don’t you take a few minutes to pray.
Now, I use the KJV Translation of the Bible. It is the most accurate of all English-translated bibles and I highly highly suggest you use this version. I will post the verses on here and you can…[Read more]

To @Lydia-S,
Okay, this is the real message to you. 🙂
Again, that’s neat. What school do you go to?
My all-time favorite book character might be Jo March because I feel like I can deeply relate to her. (Actually, my older sister feels like she can deeply relate to Meg, as well. We’re two peas in a pod, aren’t we?)
My top three authors? Hmm.…[Read more]

Whoops, I am so sorry! @Lydia-S, the first question was for you. @kathleenarmm, the rest was for you. I got a little mixed up, and I started looking at the wrong message after the first paragraph! *bows repeatedly quoting ‘many apologies’*

Wow; Korean and Japanese?!! That’s amazing! How did she get around to learning those? What languages are you planning on learning?
Thank you so much for that! I could really use the prayer 🙂 Is there something I can be praying for you about?
Thank you for the warm welcome!

Nice to meet you too!
Favs… LOTR: Gandalf, Hunger Games: Johanna, and Star Wars: Darth Vader… or maybe R2?
The first time I remember writing a story was when I was… idk, 6? To be clear tho, my writing habits were extremely sporadic until I turned 13 a few years ago. I don’t know if I even could…[Read more]

Cool! Oh, yeah. I totally get that. You gotta take breaks, though, so you don’t get burnt out.
Ironically, after saying I’m struggling with too many ideas, now I’m majorly suffering writers’ block. *facepalm* Oh, well. I’ll get through it. 🙂

@lydia-s Thanks for the advice and encouragement! The triplets and single child already get mistaken for each other a lot, but a real identical twin would definitely make it more fun! The more I come up with answers to my concerns, the more I realize that I should probably just do it and see what happens. Like some of you have said, the worst that…[Read more]

Ah, the third drafts. Don’t you just get to the point where it’s either “I have read this book so many times I know it word for word” or “Who wrote that? Not me.” I definitely do.
My top three favorite authors have to be Stacey Lee, C.S. Lewis, and Neil Gaiman (though he can fall in and out of favor with me depending on his…[Read more]

Natalie C. started the topic Keep going or jump ahead? in the forum General Writing Discussions 4 years, 10 months ago
This is very random, but when y’all are writing and you get stuck at a scene, do you make yourself keep working on it so you stay in order? Or do you sort of jump to the next scene that interests you so you can keep up your momentum?
Adding some peoples… (also this might go through twice…)

@devastate-lasting Thank you! I’ll definitely remember that.
@lydia-s Hello!
Oh, that sounds awesome! I adore Jane Austen and retellings are so cool. That does sound like fun!
To answer your questions:
1. Elizabeth Bennet. Lizzie forever! 🙂
2. I have no idea! *pauses to think* Probably Leah or Hannah. Or Abigail. But I really like my name!…[Read more]
