These snippets describe the personality of one of my favorite characters pretty well, if I do say so myself. 😉
His hair was a disheveled mess, and it took only a glance to perceive that he was positively irate. “Duxus!” he snapped. “Do you realize what time it is?”
“Yes, sir, I do…”
“It’s moonhigh! Midnight!”
“I know that, sir…”
“And you…

Awesome idea!!! And I love your lines; November and Arabella sounds awesome! 🙂
Wow. I think you have made me one of Scarlet’s biggest fans… 😉
Somehow I feel like Jewel and I would agree on a lot of things… XD Love the lines!
Bahaha, I love the second character!😂 Great job on these…[Read more]

Gotcha. (Hope we didn’t spoil anything for you… *cringes*) He’s such an iconic character… What would the series be without him…
Last books are my favorites a lot of the time, too! 🙂

Lydia S. replied to the topic Some questions about characters in the forum Characters 2 years, 9 months ago
1. Definitely! I know for a certain book series, I feel that way about both the main characters. XD
2. For pretty much everyone (except maybe Sauron… Or the White Witch…), I’d say #1. (I’m a big believer in redemption arcs…😉)
3. The morally worst villain I’ve ever read about would maybe be Mordred from The Once and Future King or…[Read more]

Lovely poem!!! It looks like @thelobsterlover and @power did a phenomenal job explaining everything, so there’s not much for me to say, other than great job! 😀

So, I’m not the only one who does that!!! XD I very rarely read the ending of a book at the end of the book… Usually I spoil it for myself somewhere during the first chapter or maybe even before starting the first chapter… *facepalm* Honestly, I blame it on my writing style. I always know how my stories end and begin, so I guess…[Read more]

Yeah, ofc!!!
Aww, thank you!!!! I know; I LOVE redemption scenes… I’ll probably end up writing way too many for this series, and only a few will make it into the novels, but I’ll enjoy every minute of it. XD
Yes, I love being able to connect with Bible characters like this!!! It’s fascinating to get into their heads and persona…[Read more]

Agh, yay!!! I’m so glad you enjoyed it. XD I agree; it’s an awesome setting and basic plot. It’s very unique to have helpless animals armed and fighting dangerous predators.
I LOVED the series! Ember’s End was my favorite book, I think… How about you?

Congrats on getting your book published!!! That is so excited. Unfortunately, I don’t have a blog or social media at the moment, so I won’t be able to take you up on your offer. Wishing you the best with this, though! 🙂

Anne is a phenomenal character, I agree! She’s Lizzie’s opposite in nearly every way, and, although I love Lizzie, I have to say Anne is my fav. 😉 She’s such a sweet, quiet heroine. Plus, another point in favor of Persuasion is Frederick Wentworth’s letter… *happy sigh* 😛
Aww, thanks so much!!! I’m glad you think so. 😀

CONGRATS ON YOUR NOVEL!!!! I’m so happy for you! XD That is so exciting.
Hi! Welcome to the KP forum! I’m Lydia. 🙂 You’re writing about mermaids?? How fun! I’ve dabbled in writing mermaid stories myself! I ended up dropping that project, but it was a retelling of Ariel called Rebel. (Now that I’m thinking about it,…[Read more]

Agh, WFR sounds FANTASTIC!!! I’m already rooting for Russel and Eliza. XD
Well, my WIPs are progressing minimally at the moment. However, my brain is still cooking up and mulling over scenes for my Biblical fiction series (And side books). And Simon (the Zealot). AH, I LOVE HIM SO MUCH. XD (Joining @elfwing in evil author…[Read more]

Ah, yes, the multiplying storyline issue. I have dealt with this before, but not in an extreme form. (I’m not sure if that’s a good thing or a bad thing, honestly. lol) For my fantasy WIP, I started with a trilogy (and it might have even been meant to be a stand-alone, originally… I can’t remember). Then, the writer’s brain went…[Read more]

Hmmm… I’m not sure! Helmer’s death didn’t come as a surprise for me. *cough* I may or may not have skimmed through the ending the moment I got the book in my hands to see if he was there… And when he wasn’t, I may or may not have then skimmed through the rest of the…[Read more]

It sounds like you have a deep understanding of Wilfred’s personality!
Aww, thank you! And you’re so right! Hard places in characters’ lives are so much fun for authors. 😉
Ooo… I didn’t think about that! That’s a very good point. Both Picket and Helmer made choices that included the royal family and left them guilt-ridden…[Read more]

Love the covers, y’all!!! 🙂 Unfortunately, my only cover design has an old title on it, and the image I used doesn’t really work with the new title. Guess I need to design a new one! XD
