*Emerges from the shadows*
Hi….. So…..
I know I kinda fell off this, but I’ve had a much needed break and now I want to join again.
You see, I have a new character. He’s pretty awesome, or so I gather from the little bit I understand of him; like I said, he’s very new.
Would you mind if he showed up and…[Read more]

Elishavet Elroi replied to the topic THE CRAZY SLEEPOVER WHATEVER WE WANT RP! in the forum General Writing Discussions 1 year, 9 months ago
Wow, this looks like it could be a ton of fun. (I’m thinking this is like a mixture of camp, Bible College, and a birthday party, because… That’s what a sleepover basically is.)
Also, I’m really not comfortable with makeup etc. either, but fun hair styles and those heinous face masks would be really fun! I would love to see my…[Read more]

Oops! I accidentally sent in a draft of that post. *Facepalm* I hope it wasn’t too rough.
Anyway, Your allegory sounds interesting! The end times are a bit difficult to write an allegory for anyway, with or without doctrinal differences, but it could make for a powerful read. My last book is technically over the end time harvest,…[Read more]

That is funny! Your allegory sounds interesting though, and I get what you mean about theological niches. I struggle with the balance of doctrine and relatability myself, especially since my convictions on the Bible aren’t mainstream Christain. I’m an Apostolic Pentecostal, and that means my

Oof. I also have difficulties with this. (I think every author does at some point.)
I’ll just echo @booksbyjayna and say keep writing and study the authors you want to emulate. I’ve seen it work and will definitely be personally implementing it as much as I can.
(After all, it’s another excuse to read Prince Caspian again…)

I do too; Theology is amazing because our Savior is amazing, and that makes it impossible not to talk about, sometime.
But at least we’re still in the struggle and keep getting up.
(It isssssss!)
WE ABSOLUTELY MUST.
Really? I’d love to hear about it! I actually have another one too that I’m doing with my twin sister, but it’s just…[Read more]

Hullo, I think I’ve met you before!
It’s good to have you back. XD It’s been a while since we’ve chatted about books, theology in books, theology of books, theology of life….
Anyway, I’m doing fine! A little busy and struggling with that old villain Procrastination.Â
I totally win every fight.ÂThat’s why I’m sitting next to my B…[Read more] -

XD What character? XD
Well, I am taking a momentary break from my math work. XD

Yay! She’s writing it again! Even though I know next to nothing (perhaps less than nothing?) about Marvel, this has been so much fun to read. I love the characters!
And I definitely have not created an AU of this AU. That would be preposterous! And I most definitely would not have made up a specific character either. Even if she…[Read more]

Greetings and salutations! I am called Elishavet around here and am known as a wannabe author of realistic medieval fantasy and poetry with a smattering of nonfiction. (I’m one of those lovers of the classics… Though not particularly the classical.) I am barging in…[Read more]

Ok, so I’ll keep this to articles because I LOVE the short stories and poems, but that’s not really what you seem to be asking.
I went back and looked through the articles for the ones that have really resonated with me and my pen. Sometimes they were just hilarious, sometimes encouraging, and sometimes challenging. I love the o…[Read more]

Thank you so much! That is absolutely wonderful. 🙂
Also, their climate is like a mix of Ireland, Norway, and Northern Israel, so all those are possibilities. The herbs, and especially the recipe, are perfect fuel for ideas. Thanks again!

Hi @landric!
Thank you for your advice!
I think I do want it to affect his expressions, but not much. For instance, his smile may be slightly higher and less stiff on the unaffected side, making his grin a touch lopsided. The brand itself is roughly 1 1/2″ -2″ long and 1″ wide. I do think it would follow his cheekbone.
Yay! Any specific herbs?

This sounds amazing! I’d love to join, although my goals would be remarkably low for the April one since I really have a ton of other things I need to do that hold higher priority. Then summers are usually chock full of camps and things that we are either attending or working, so that would also have to be really low. But with it…[Read more]

Do they? Yes they do. Unfortunately, I don’t know what to give them. So, IÂ need some advice.
First, I have this idea for a new character. He has no name yet he’s that new. What I do know about him is that he’s about twelve years old and a slave to a soldier. He has seen many horrible things, including being forced to fight in battles against his…[Read more]

I just saw this. Know I’m praying for you too. I don’t know all that you’re facing, but Jesus does.
Also, Proverbs 3:6-7, 23-26, and Psalms 4:8, 27:4-5, 37:23-25, 61:1-4, are some verses that have meant a lot to me in the normal uncertainties of growing up and to some others I know. I hope they are a comfort for you…[Read more]

These are audio banks (I think). The first appears to have more Biblical than Conversational Hebrew. I couldn’t quite figure out the second, but it seemed like it held promise. Both have adds.

I hope this isn’t spamming. I’m having to post all the links one by one.
Lastly, this seemed like a really neat resource, so I decided to share it. It has a thesaurus, translation, and apparently an audio. However, you have to have an account with them (it said it was free…?) to hear the audio, so I don’t know about that…[Read more]
