Trahia the Minstrel started the topic Our Book Premises Nerd Space in the forum General Writing Discussions 4 years, 10 months ago
Okay! Hi! I’ve made this topic so we can all put up the premises of our WIPs or anything else we’ve worked on in the last or are thinking of working on in the future. Hopefully we can all enjoy a huge nerd with each other about all our stories!😊
Here’s the premise I’m working on for my current novel:
A Usurper’s Heir. A True Prince. Two Families,…[Read more] -

@kathleenramm I get ideas from all kinds of places. My first fanfiction was literally inspired by a picture of a boat I saw in a magazine. And I get ideas from dreams all the time, like the one about dinosaurs that were used by police when I had a dream I was at a police station and they had a whole pen of gallimimus dinosaurs to ride. That dream…[Read more]

@elishavet-pidyon ahhh yes you have put into words what my scattered brain could not at that moment! That’s pretty much my stance on work like that!

So… unexpected place? Physical, or like, emotional?
Lol, but seriously, I get the best story ideas when I’m mad. Like, frustrated mad when I only get an awful 89 on my math test.
Sometimes I’ll be talking to my sis, we’ll be deep in a discussion, she’ll be mid sentence, then I’ll stand up, turn to her and demand she say a random…[Read more]

Agh, yes, I am a big GE fan! I do love the characters you mentioned, but my all-time favorite character is Helmer. HE IS THE BEST!!!! (I’m a big fan of crusty-and-tough-on-the-outside-but-soft-and-sweet-on-the-inside type characters). My favorite lines are pretty much anything Helmer says, but e…[Read more]

Love your poem thanks for sharing.
Thanks you. That was my first time trying out the abba. I often do the abab or do three or four lines in a row that rhyme (example aaa, bbb, ccc, so on and so forth). As for meters my usual is an octometer. But I’ve been everywhere between a pentameter to a dodecameter.
Ive written 24 poems o…[Read more]

The Horse and His Boy is my favourite Narnia book😊.
Yeah, I haven’t learnt the Hebrew letters, but that ‘cha’ sound is really hard to make. Still, I like the feel it gives my language😁. Here’s a sample:
“Ûne li’hatevet Férījinar Sechol.”
(translation: I don’t speak Férījinarian (language))
“Ira? Hûsī hovet Ira?”
(translatio…[Read more]

Thanks! I never knew that, about the early Slav federation. That’s so neat you’re using it in your book!😃

The û? Do you know which culture it comes from? Also, that’s epic you’re learning Hebrew!😃 I watched some beginners’ videos to learn the structure — in terms of it being an SVO language, like English. Unlike my main kingdom’s language, which is an SOV language, like Japanese.
I like the mix of cultures you’re using for Eirtan!…[Read more]

Thanks for the pronunciation lesson 😀
Sadly, I have to say I don’t know much IPA… which makes it kinda hard to read English-to-Korean dictionaries. Yea… I should really learn.
Are you planning on publishing your book in the future?

Poor Rubin ;-; will be missed.
In Korean, literally everything (almost,) is spelled solely based on the way it sounds. So, thankfully, I don’t encounter too many spelling errors of my own.
Random question, does Russian have any loan-words?BQ? I am unfamiliar with this.
Whoops, I meant college Korean text book. A big…[Read more]
