All these premisses are thrilling!
So… Here’s Nyx’s portrait. It was fun to make and I learned quite a bit about drawing fur in the process. I’m so excited with how it turned out!

You should write a short story about it/in that setting, just ’cause it sounds so “readable”, if that makes sense. You know, the strange ground keeping people could be part of a spy ring or the guardians of a secret…. ok, my train of thought is on a detour. *Note lightbulb over head*

@godlyfantsay12
thank you! This’ll be a welcome challenge.
@anatra23 I’ve read a few of the Redwall books, namely Redwall, Mossflower, The Bellmaker, and that one about the baggers where that lord fellow falls off a cliff 😉 . I haven’t read any in a while though.
Have you read Mistmantle? My brother liked them but didn’t get hooked, while we did.

Hey, @godlyfantasy12, would you mind if I drew Nyx? And if so, does he have any particular markings etc.?

Um, that’s amazing. Once again, did Nyx SPEAK?!

Yeah, nothing I wouldn’t mind reading myself, not to mention a ten year old at our church. Especially when I’m trying to make a very Christain point about the passing of mantles. No need the have my good be evil spoken of!
Ugh, yeah, it is so irritating when a word is placed in the wrong era. I mean, some words don’t matter,…[Read more]

Thank you!
Yes, I have read GE, and it’s a favorite. S. D. Smith is the C. S. Lewis of rabbits!
Cracken and Bracken are brothers. For full explanation here are their character descriptions:
Cracken (more grey than brown. He is not a Meadow Squirrel, oh no, he is from the Wood of Cornish. Yes, he is. A friend to everyone except a few and…[Read more]

I like it too. It has some rather deep thoughts hidden in it. Yes, the tone change is thrilling!

I don’t write Biblical fiction, but I completely support having a forum for it!

Sorry. I’ll try not to repeat myself in later posts. 😉
To clarify on certain points left too vague. The first two stories are about humans in a human world. The last is about an animal only world.
Knights= pastors/missionaries

Hi! Gramercy for inviting me!
Your book sounds so intriguing! Yes, I’m hooked.
So, here are three of my premisses. (Yes, I stole them from one of my former posts. I don’t type that quickly)
Possibility (because that’s what it is): Aethelthryth was set apart from her very birth. Her father was a serf whom the King freed. H…[Read more]

@maryg3 You stayed in a manor house in Ireland? That’s… *At a loss for words*. What was is like?
I’ve grown up as a homeschooler PK in a small town, so yeah, church can be a rather social place… but with Bible quizzing, the library, and our homeschool group, it’s not like we’re really isolated. (Or maybe I just don’t know the difference)
Did…[Read more]

Thank you! Yes, the first two are only human, and the last is only animals. I’m glad it was fun to read. I think the personality of each story worked its way into the synopses.
Which do you like best?

Wow, a forum given entirely up to WIP related blather? STUPENDOUS!
Where do I start? An introduction, that’s where!
Possibility (because that’s what it is): Aethelthryth was set apart from her very birth. Her father was a serf whom the King freed. He became a knight with a burden to reach those in bondage. Her mother is a knight’s daughter with…[Read more]

Yay! Thank you. In fact, the shortage of well written Biblically sound analogies is what prompted me to make up one of my WIPs.

Helmer is awesome! His nearing brutal outside hides such a tender heart. Yes, that conversation is priceless.
I have not read all the books exactly, because I only skim-read the last, but I have read all the rest. My personal favorite is either The Green Ember or Ember Falls. Which is funny, since when we first heard that a certain rabbit may…[Read more]

This post has stirred me; I cannot be silent. 😉
I totally agree, and no, you don’t sound over cautious to me. As John 1:1-14 makes very clear, His Word is not something to play with, for “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God”,”And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us,(and we beheld His…[Read more]
