That’s awesome that you’re moving to Nova Scotia!:D
That sounds awesome and six novels? Wow, that’s incredible 😀 And from what I’m hearing about them, you should definitely try and publish after you polished them as much as possible, (but remember that there actually is an ‘enough is enough’ point. I know that sounds strange, bu…[Read more]

That is amazing!:)
I think I’ve heard of Shine FM as well:)
Yes! I live in the states and am pretty sure that K Love reaches many places around the world. Hmm, but they do have it live on their website: klove.com
It’s phenomenal and I’d 100% recommend it:) -

And I positively ADORE those portraits of Evie, Arya, and Isla!!!!!!! Evie’s cloak design is so mystical and mysterious, and Arya looks just like I imagined and Isla? She’s stunning!! I adore all of your line art and the cross-hatching and shadowing effects and all of the beautiful small details like Isla’s collar:D I can’t tell…[Read more]

Alexa it is then! Besides, that’s an extremely awesome name:D
*Pokes head back into KP website after so long* So much has been changing and just like you said, I’m thinking “how much did I miss??” A lot I suppose, but yes, ‘crammed schedule’ should have been my middle name XD Thank you for being so understanding, I genuinely a…[Read more] -

Alexa Autorski replied to the topic To edit or not to edit… in the forum General Writing Discussions 4 years, 10 months ago
Like Jenna said, I would recommend editing the first book before moving on to the sequel. I myself am writing a trilogy, and while I’ve outlined (loosely) all three books, I’m going to completely edit them one at a time before moving onward. That way, if you get new ideas or want to tweak the storyline a bit, you have the freedom to…[Read more]

First of all, I think that’s so brave of you to be posting your first three chapters!! 🙂 I know it can be scary to let other people see your work, and it’s totally normal to feel nervous about this (I know I did), but I would LOVE to read through your chapters!! I can already tell you’re such a talented writer. 😉 And I love fantasy…[Read more]

I just now realized you mentioned you already liked some of Tolkien and C.S. Lewis’ works (and owned TWS), so sorry about that. XD. Also, I just remembered: if you ever want to try out a nonfiction book, you could look into The Writer’s Journey. It helps you structure your story, figure out character roles, and also touches on the T…[Read more]

XD Anyways, I’d love to help you out if I could with finding some book recommendations, my dear writing friend. 😉 Though, I think we have similar taste, so most of…[Read more]

@lewilliams Yeah, I get that. I’ve been trying to read more, too!!! Alrighty, *rubs hands together eagerly* I’m always down for giving out awesome recs. I don’t know if any of this will interest you, since I’m normally a loner in the books I enjoy. Alexa Autorski replied to the topic Keep going or jump ahead? in the forum General Writing Discussions 4 years, 11 months ago
For me? I always put the scene in the parenthesis (perhaps tell what happens in a couple of sentences) and then just move on. If you’re feeling the urge to write the next scene, then totally go for it! I’ve found that writing the scenes I’m in the mood for helps me #1 stay motivated and not get bored with my story, and #2 write more…[Read more]

Well, most of the time I just push right through it, but if a scene’s coming up and I don’t know what’s gonna happen AND I just don’t feel like writing it, I’ll just put: something really cool happens and move on. I’ve only ever done that once, tho, so it’s no a super common thing for me. 😉
