That makes sense the only reason I found them was because I was listening to I see Fire on youtube and left the autoplay on and It started playing one of them.

@felicity personality I really like that the writing is present tense It makes it feel kind of like the characters are talking about something that happened in the past which is amazing (the only other book I’ve read that wrote in present tense was Name of the Wind which was a very good book (I would not suggest it though as it’s sequel one has…[Read more]

@starofthenorth @lightoverdarkness6
I really like Peter Hollens as well. He does some really good fantasy ballads his songs from A Game of Thrones (I have never watched or read the show/books) and His version of I see fire are really good

As I’m writing a grimdark (if you don’t know what that is google defines it as “a genre of fiction, especially fantasy fiction, characterized by disturbing, violent, or bleak subject matter and a dystopian setting” (google) in simpler terms or as one Redditor put it “A story were “‘victory'” for the characters is ‘Our existence…[Read more]

I’m not sure if I have a personal theme song however my favorite songs to sing are Jenny of oldstones and Timbers and wind. I also recently taught my self when the wolves cry out which I have recently enjoyed singing.

oh this topic is great
As an avid reader of dark fantasy and grimdark fiction (and also a writer of such fiction), I can definitely have a lot to say on this topic. (I have discussed this among other things extensively with my brother.) Also, I think I’m going to group some stuff like dark subject matters besides creepy…[Read more]

I was looking through my old google drive and just found this…
The first 3 chapters of the first (and unedited (Grammarly says it has 79 errors but I haven’t looked through them (probably 50% of them are names that it thinks are misspelled words)) draft of a WIP I had worked on over the summer of sixth grade (I’m in 10th grade at the…[Read more]

@not-so-secret-secret-assassin
(very confused)
umm… not to be insensitive or anything but is this a joke/satire/allegory mostly just because my geeky brain doesn’t seem to be able to comprehend the fact that you can’t write because you have big muscles. Also, this is just giving me unreliable flags…
I might suggest stretching…

I feel that I am inclined to suggest the hunger games as it is like the most stereotypical ya dystopiaalso when the stars go out seems interesting I will have to add it to my list.
I think that the last book I read (for fun and that was kind of a dystopia) would be the Poppy War (it’s a Grimdark so basically a fantasy dystopia (or s…[Read more]

I literally didn’t know of the Oxford comma by that name until a few days ago when some people in my history class were complaining about how their language arts teacher had marked it wrong in their literary analysis essays. Then I jotted it down to use somehow to write a quizbol question. (Then I just decided it would be funny to m…[Read more]
