In my opinion, I think you should keep them like that! Being protective is a good quality. I think it shows that they have love for someone (or something). I assume most people in real life are protective—deep down inside.

Hi! I generally lean more towards soft worldbuilding, though I am trying to create a world with harder worldbuilding. (I haven’t actually come up with any good ideas yet though.) My duck world has a very soft magic system, in which pretty much every weird magic idea I’ve had exists. Including a singing pineapple.

Yeah, they’re from the same universe, but they’re from different countries. Markus lives in a far southern country (which is actually uninhabited besides him and his dad, and is very much like Antarctica), and Flaz lives in the northern country of Extroit (which is very much like America).
