Haha, no worries, I have the memory of a chicken. XD
Agreeeeed, spaceships make everything better.
Ohhh yum, hot cocoa is awesome. Coffee hater??? Interesting… Do you hate Starbucks? 😨XD
I’m so sorry about your studio! Actually, you remind me a lot of my sister, cuz she’s starting tae-kwon-do, and she likes korean pop intead of j-pop but close enough 😛 And 80s music is ah-maze-ing. What’s your favorite song?
I play basketball and I’m think I’m doing track & field this year, but that depends on how bad my workload is this year, lol.
Anywayys, nice to get to know you better! 🤗

-gladiator, 2000Chamomile is the best. I like to imagine being wrapped in a fluffy blanket, writing my story with a candle and the Little Women soundtrack in the background. <3 Then I am happy. :)) (Which reminds me, are you big into movies? If so, which ones?)
That book journal sounds awesome! How long have you been doing it? It would be super fun to look back on the past entries and see how everything changes over time.
Ohh I’ll definitely have to look into those authors! I’ve heard of Kara Swanson, but never read her books.
Aww, thank you! <3 There are lots of ways I could go with my WIP, so I’m trying to pinpoint the direction at the moment. :))
So excited to get to know you better too! <33

-gladiator, 2000Welcome Lavender! I’m Ella, nice to meet you! If you have any questions, please let me know.
Ohh nice, sci-fi and fantasy? Sounds pretty awesome to me. :)) I’m writing a book about a girl who’s trying to escape the last ship leaving earth (which is almost inhabitable) to save her sister, who was left behind. It’s a story about loyalty, courage, and selfless love. best themes in my opinion ;)<<33
Some questions:
do you like tea? or coffee? or something else? (tea all the way for me, especially vanilla chamomile)
do you play any sports?
what’s your favorite genre of music?

-gladiator, 2000Heyy Heaven! (I LOVE your name btw) Your blog is so pretty, and I love your mission too <33
CWW!!! <33 I’ve participated in it for two years but this year I didn’t because school was just too much work, but I agree, it is SO helpful! I hope you keep your writing streak on KP too!
Wait. Ahhh! I’m a tea drinker too! (what’s ur favorite? mine’s vanilla chamomile:)) And I’m an aesthetic lover! I adore journaling too… what kind of book journaling do you do? I have a writing journal (which might be similar?) and a super fun sister journal where me and my sister take turns decorating a section of a journal every month.
I love me some books. ;)) What are some of your favorites? I finished The Inheritance Games most recently, which is a mystery about a random girl who receives billions of inheritance money from someone she didn’t know.
For writing, I like mystery, sci-fi, fantasy, and thriller. My current WIP is about a girl trying to escape the last ship leaving earth (which is almost inhabitable) so that she can save her sister, who was left behind. It’s a story about loyalty, courage, and selfless love (my fav story themes <33)
Well, I’ve been ranting for a while, so I should wrap it up. It’s so awesome to have you!!! Have a great time on KP!

-gladiator, 2000I’ll rephrase XD I write whenever I can, but not as consistently as I’d like. For example, over Christmas break, I wrote almost every day but as soon as school started again, I’m having trouble making time anymore. So summer is my dream time to write haha
Anywayys, I’m writing two stories when I can:
WIP Emiyn (em-eye-in) is about a girl who was chosen as one of the people to leave Earth (which is a failing climate), but she’s trying to escape the training center to save her autistic sister (who wasn’t accepted for the fact that she had an illness) before the ship leaves earth forever.
WIP Slave is about a young commander who is trying to solve his slave’s murder and the secret that he was holding, which might lead to the downfall of his country. It’s based off Greco-Roman/Viking cultures and set in an alternate universe. His country idolizes him (they think he’s a god) because he wins every war, every fight. He can’t get away from death and fighting, but he dreams that he can one day. With one loyal friend, he travels across the lands to solve the murder, win the wars, and finally find peace.
So yep, that’s what I’m working on now. What about you?

-gladiator, 2000Heyyy! I’m Ella, nice to meet you!!! Lana is such a pretty name <3
Oh yes, fantasy is amazinggg. I’m going back and forth between two WIPs: Project Emiyn (em-eye-in), where Earth’s climate is failing, and people have no choice but to go to space. Emiyn was chosen to be one of the Candidates for the space exploration, but she keeps trying to escape because her sister was not accepted (because she’s autistic and they are evil, so they don’t take sick people), and Emiyn won’t leave her alone. The whole story is her journey to get back to Aven (her sister) and sneak her back on board the ship before they leave Earth forever.
The other WIP is Project Slave, set in an alternate universe with the Greco-Roman/Viking cultures. The MC, Bastien, is a young army general (Roman) who is trying to solve the strange case of his slave’s murder (who was killed because he was keeping a secret that could lead to the Roman culture’s downfall). Also, the people think he’s a god of good fortune because he wins every battle. They use his talent (not powers) to “enslave” him to a life of pleasing the people (e.g., fighting in the arena).
So yeah, that was probably way more than you asked for, but yep, that’s what I’m working on.
Quick question:
pancakes or waffles? or crepes? or none at all?

-gladiator, 2000Welcome back!!!! I haven’t been consistently writing since like… um… summer ’21?? 😱 I know, I’ve been bad, but girl, it’s hard to write during the school year lol
Anywayssss, your blog looks AH-MAZ-ING. So pretty, super aesthetic, and really fun to look through <3 I got November on the quiz btw 😉
dunno if we’ve met, so HEYO! I’m Ella, i’ve been here for, what, three years? Maybe? I love it when new people show up, it’s so much fun to meet new writers and make online besties <3 I checked out your blog (which is awesome sauce) and I commented!

-gladiator, 2000Heyy, awesome to have you here! I’m Ella and I write all kinds of stuff too, from dystopian to fantasy to mystery. I love reading his-fic but i’ve never worked up the courage to write it lol
Anything fun you’ve been reading recently? I have millions of books on hold right now, but I really want to read The Inheritance Games by Jennifer somethingsomething:)
I love journaling, baking, and sports besides reading and writing. My current wip is a fantasy and a twist on the greco-roman/viking cultures dealing with themes of revenge, unwanted love, and belonging. Your wip sounds awesome! Do you like the non-fiction genre the most?

-gladiator, 2000hey Lin, thanks so much! it’s so hard to balance, i know! that’s what i need to hear right now… i might fall asleep on my homework haha :)) slowing down is something i’d love to do, but i just don’t feel like it’s possible right now. even though it probably is. :)) and i’ll definitely remember to contact you sometime, thank you <33

you crack me up. XD um, personally i loveee working out, but idk how serious you are about all this ahaha so…
i mean, with school and basketball and stuff, it’s hard for me to get in the gym, so i mostly do bodyweight stuff at my house in between studying breaks. also, depending on your schedule, if you can wake up a little earlier than normal to do a quick workout (even if it’s just like a quick ab circuit or something) it would help.
as for making time with writing, i feel youuuu. this is actually one of my nemesisesis…? ((i can’t spell either) even if you’re not a planner, block out times in your day to specifically do a workout, whether it be a run around your neighborhood or 100 pushups. make habits. and trust me, it takes longer trying to decide what workout to do instead of doing it lol. also, cut out unnecessary screen time or random things that kill brain cells. don’t neglect writing, just decide what things are most important to you and focus on splitting up your time with that.
sooo, yep. that’s my advice to you, take it or leave it. main takeaway is be intentional. :))

-gladiator, 2000thank you for the kind words, Kathleen! John 14 is a wonderful idea. it’s hard to always remember that God is there, but what you said is so true. now that i think about it, songs are the main things that come on and remind me of the truth. “water under the bridge” is what my mom likes to say, when life is hard sometimes. thank you for reminding me. <33 i appreciate the beautiful reminders, thank you for taking the time to respond. and i’ll definitely take you up on chatting when it’s hard to find someone to talk to. :)) i have a lot of friends but i still get lonely because school relationships are so different than life relationships if you know what i mean haha. anyways, thank you for the prayers and advice <33
yeah, i definitely struggle prioritizing mental health as much as i do physical health. and that’s so helpful to remember not to make myself write… that’s a big struggle of mine. :)) ughhh, yes, sleep is hard to get! i have this ideal routine that’s basically impossible to keep doing ahaha. i actually asked for extensions a couple of days ago and so much stress lifted! 90 minutes sounds good… i don’t want to be obsessed with school, it’s just hard to keep up with it haha. :)) yess, sports are so time consuming! and talking with parents is so good, i always feel like crying in the middle of it lolll but after it, it feels like the clouds lifted :)) thank you thank you for these words, i feel a lot better already. <33 in my head there’s this mental image of this perfect person that i want to be but hearing practical advice kinda brings me down to earth, so tysm <33
yesss, covid really is so hard to deal with! i had my first game yesterday and i’m dead today ahaha. :)) i really do struggle making time to be in God’s Word with everything else, but like you said, i feel soooo much better when i do. thank you. ah yes, sleep. 😐 hard thing to make happen hahaha. so many wise words on this thread, and thank you for yours!
thank you, i needed that hug! ;)) oh i’m so sorry about that! it’s crazy how much we need sleep… sacrifices are so hard to make, but i guess the stronger you are, the more wisdom you have to make it happen. thank you for reminding me to do that. <33 it really does hurt to cut things i love out of my schedule but i totally get what you’re saying. it also makes sense about your writing… i should try that too. :)) and that’s really smart about studying way before things are due… i feel like a lot of what i do is cramming now, trying to get up to speed with all my schoolwork. that’s really smart. i summoned up the bravery to talk with my teachers (ha!) and figured out some schedule changes to relieve pressure, which is an answer to prayers! anyways, thank you sooo much for taking the time to respond, it’s so appreciated <33
hey, homeschooling can be just as stressful, i know ahaha :)) and yes, junk food has definitely helped me hehe! thank you so much for those words… that verse makes me want to cry :)) come Lord Jesus, come! =) thank you for the prayers, i appreciate you so much <33
THANK YOU EVERYONE! reading all these hopeful, inspiring words has made me so much happier and brighter already =) i appreciate it soooo much, love y’all <33

-gladiator, 2000Heyy, sorry it took me so long to respond XD
Oh yeahhh, I read your book and it was SO good!!! Actually i remember it being one of my favorites that I’ve read on KP :)) best of luck!! <33
Mine’s a post-apocalyptic book about a girl with “amnesia” (sort of?) who’s trying to survive while figuring out where she got there, because she can’t remember the end of the world, which is kinda a big detail lolll
Ohmygosh, my sister had Limes disease… I’m so sorry, i hope you feel well. I actually just got over covid so i’m definitely not going to get to 50k with all this crazy makeup work… :(( oh well. i’m forming better writing habits though, so that’s the important part XD
i’ll be praying for you Daisy <33 u tOtalLy got this!!!!
