First of all, I’m sorry that I couldn’t make it to their topic sooner because its awesome! Second of all I love all your illustrations, especially Obi-Wan’s, that was my favorite:) Star Wars fans all the way!
I’ve never written any crossover fanfic before, but I’ve written a little fan fiction in general. But when I say little, I…[Read more]

@jody-maile
Hi, Jody! I’m terribly sorry about this being so late. My absence from KP has caused me to miss a lot of awesome posts around here sadly. And I know you got the issue fixed, (I’m super super happy for you btw 😀 ), but I wanted to say that that is extremely relatable. Especially when trying to add themes simply ‘cause you feel like…[Read more]

Hi, Koshka! I’m Abigail and I realize that I am terribly late in welcoming you here to KP! That’s cool that you’re Power’s sibling, he’s got some awesome writing. And your’s sounds amazing too. I love the two wolf brothers and the characters and themes you described were beautiful. Which is your favorite theme to write? And those are R…[Read more]

Wonderful idea, Lydia! Everyone’s lines are so entertaining and fun to read, (I love this Cathrine btw. Her references to her Uncle’s rifle are hilarious:)

I think this is very interesting! Love where you’re going with Torrent, Indy, and this mysterious cave of rebels. Beaumont sounds like he’s going to be a great side companion too, but what I find really neat about this is the involvement with Indy and the possibility of Torrent getting an alliance from these rebels to find her fat…[Read more]

Abigail.M. replied to the topic Making Bible Characters Relatable in the forum Biblical Fiction 3 years ago
Hi, JC! I adore this topic and everything you said in the description! You described writing and giving flaws to Biblical characters extremely well. It’s so true what you said that people from the Bible often feel distant and in a different universe than we are in. Which is true to an extent since they lived so long ago and dealt w…[Read more]

Ooh! An allegorical fantasy!? That is awesome and I was so curious as to what this story could be about when I read the title. Then as I was reading the description, I was thinking WOW! I like this a lot.
Kai sounded like such an amazing character and jus…[Read more]

Elfwing replied to the topic What’s an unexpected place you got a story idea from? in the forum Topic of the Week 3 years ago
@maryg3 I can relate to the uneventful childhood! I was homeschooled and we lived remote. like, the nearest city with a Costco was 6 hrs, and people think an hour is nothing to go visit each other. And we only had one vehicle that my dad drove to work, so the only real social interaction with people was Sundays and the occasional church potluck.…[Read more]

@kathleenramm I’ve never been to a waffle house at any time of day, so my imagination is doing a good job of creeping me out XD
And I totally know what you mean about the doppelganger thing!!! I know two people who are totally unrelated (well, we’re all human, so all related that way but you know what I mean) and they look and sound very similar,…[Read more]

@joy-caroline oh bother! it ate my response again, now I can’t remember hahah
Anyhow, pretty much; if it works to make it into three, then do it. I made a 6 book series because I wanted to make a story about the lives of the people in my world. I ended book 1 with a cliffhanger that is (hopefully) suspenseful and emotional, and a major moment…[Read more]

Elfwing replied to the topic What's something you thought was necessary in writing, but actually wasn't? in the forum Topic of the Week 3 years ago
For me it was that as in real life, the antagonist does not have to be a corrupt human or evil demon kind of thing; it could be anything.
Everyone has something in their life that is their ‘antagonist’, it may be a literal person being a pain in the butt, but it could be anything from financial problems to chronic pain to health…[Read more]
