Elishavet Elroi replied to the topic Writing out of chronological order? in the forum Plotting 2 years, 3 months ago
Hmmm…
I’m writing my WIPs out of order, but mostly because I just haven’t had time to sit down and write the scene that should come next… Or as it is with my second WIP, I despise every beginning I’ve written, so I just write other parts untill I can get a better idea for an opening.
However, I think the biggest reasons that…[Read more]

And Viktor had officially gone through the roof. XD
Also, y’all, I’m thinking of throwing in a side character, he wouldn’t really have a POV, but he might move the plot along. I’m thinking an Eirtanian servant at the castle that I’ll use to work on a vague idea I have for one of the refugees they meet in…[Read more]

Okay, so I’m back!
These characters are both hilarious and so sad. I’m not sure if I should laugh at them or hug them. Lol!
By the way, I think I’ve almost got Viktor’s traumatic state figured out.
He does kinda have PTSD, but it’s not… Maybe not what you’d first think of. He has trauma…[Read more]

Oohh… lemme see… probably getting to make up stuff and deviate from history and explaining it as ‘it’s my world and I do what I want’ but being able to fall back on history if I don’t feel like making something up XD
Yes!! I love doing this. It’s so handy.
 How about you?
Welllllll…. Basically the same. XD I love incorporatin…[Read more]

Thank you! I’m really glad you like his hair; I like the front, but I had difficulties with the rest. I saw a picture of a young boy praying, and I had to draw Amichai like that: it’s so like him.
I’m glad you like it!

So, for all of you that I promised to share this with, here it is! I’m honestly thrilled with how it turned out. (In fact, I was thrilled even better I started it, because I found some reference pics that were perfect! But still, I’m even more happy with this, because it’s him not someone who looks like him.)
Unfortunately, I didn’t have the best…[Read more]

Ah, I love this idea! So, I don’t read dystopian because it’s kinda dark, but this…
I love the mix of hope and danger and truth. Honestly, truth is one of my favorite themes, you could say.
Also, a story about persecution/strength in the darkness would be awesome in a dystopian world.
I’d love to read it, and if you need any…[Read more]

Oh y’all! This isn’t exactly an AU, or not in one way, but totally in another! Once I took my entire three kingdoms in Heir of Ashes and planted them into Middle Earth.
*Dies laughing*
Honestly though, it’s amazing what taking your setting and putting in a different world will do for world building. It highlights little details that you’d…[Read more]

My poor dear. He’s usually not outwardly flustered and is able to adapt to the people around him… But he’s not quite himself, I’m afraid. His author had a humor fit.
It might make more sense, though, if someone else sorta says hi and his response in a reply.
Either way, his inward fumbles have momentarily caught him, but then, he’s only…[Read more]

Greetings and Welcome to the Kingdom of Pen! I’m Elishavet around here, and mostly write realistic medieval fantasy with a little bit of randomness on the side. (And top, and bottom, and basically everywhere.)
Your WIP sounds incredibly fascinating! Is the flower good or bad? Or neither? Or should I not ask?
I have two…[Read more]

Hi Elishavet! I love your name! And yay, we write the same genre!
Awww, thank you! I love it to. 😉 And, yes we do! What’s your favorite thing about writing this particular genre?
Oh awesome! I love reading trilogies, and it’s proved to be fun to write too! Writing series just gives you that extra room to explore some more t…

If I die of laughter, it shall be a good death.
I’m having too much fun at my characters’ expense. It’s just that, I think that by going this direction, I can get some more character development and story inspiration. 😉 You know.

Viktor
Heart pounding, feet stumbling, Viktor listened with astonished ears to the voices filtering through Mikkel’s crack in the door.
Completely unrecognizable.
He swiped his hair off his forehead, combing it back with his nervous fingers.
“Guide us, Lord.”
Only Mikkel’s request kept…[Read more]

All right!
Alyona
From her place a top the garden wall, she could make out the three gardens, all free of gaurds.
Relief, sweet relief, swept through her like the harvest wind. She took a deep breath and glanced back.
If only Viktor could be here, safe as well.
Jocelyn had come over behind…[Read more]

Yessss! That was hilarious. And hey, Ocran needs a little more humility anyway.
(Of course teasing November is fun. I have a couple in my other series, Alwin and Winifrith, and I am so looking forward to when they start getting teased about each other. XD like, it’s absurd, but I love it. XD and poor Alwin, he’s a little…[Read more]

Okay, y’all I think it’s time for a quick POV from Ocran…. Whether or not he actually comes on the scene, you know.
Ocran
Immer, a captain of his castle gaurd, stood at attention before Ocran’s desk. Sweat beaded on the man’s forehead, and his boots were spattered in mud and blood.
