Welcome to the forum!
*cheers* Another pineapple pizza person, yay! And I have to agree with your assessment of Narnia vs. LOTR. Tolkien wins, hands down (He is likely the author I admire most), but I also am and forever will be a Narnia nerd. 😛
Now for the customary welcoming questions:
1) What is your favorite mythical animal?
2)…[Read more]

Welcome to the forum, Annika!
I wholeheartedly approve of your hobbies as I myself enjoy all three of those things! And your book choices are also wonderful (J.R.R. Tolkien is probably the writer I admire most).
Fantasy is very fun to write and to read! Have you by chance read the DragonKeeper Chronicles by Donita K. Paul? It’s a…[Read more]

Oh, wonderful! Til We Have Faces is super good. Ah, I see. I’ve flipped through the first book virtually, but hopefully, I’ll actually get around to reading them someday. 😉
No, I have no read that one! I’ll have to do that someday, though.
Wow, he sounds extremely well written! (And don’t worry. I’m 16 and I still enjoy flipping…[Read more]

Elfwing replied to the topic What's your character's Lie? in the forum Characters 4 years, 9 months ago
oy vey… I don’t plan character lies… umm they sorta develop with the character, but the first one in my mind would be Brianna Hakonik;
she was kidnapped as a child and raised in a very dark place and trained as an assassin and ring fighter and with it came a lot of trauma and abuse. As you can guess she’s bitter and agg…[Read more]

@zatara Yooo that’s awesome! I love finding people who like what I do.
Ah yes, several times! I used to go visit a lot.
Oh nice! That sounds like an awesome trip, haha. I love going to new places to base locations off of.
What’s your favorite part of the writing process?

Lin replied to the topic Hello there! in the forum Start HERE 4 years, 9 months ago
@zatara Nice! Yeah, Nolan is definitely my favorite Western movie director right now. What are some of your favorite works of his? I love Inception, The Prestige, and The Dark Knight especially.
I have a large sweet tooth, so I like almost any kind of dessert, though I’m especially fond of lemon pastries. Lemon pies, then.
Tenet! Yes, wa…[Read more]

@keilah-h I know there’s actually a prequel called Tron from a long time ago… Not sure if you watched it? It’s been a long time, but I know that I prefer Tron: Legacy.
Yooo those fanfics sound epic! I would love to hear more!

what scenes? I’m confused too now, if you meant which of yours, i liked both scenes!!
no it’s not weird to detail all the species! It’s good to know your characters inside and out so to speak 🙂 they all sound like you put a lot of thought into them!
And as for MCs all being boys I admit it’s my natural tendency to do that too so n…[Read more]

@joy-caroline Thank you! It’s probably going to be a long time before I’m done with it (my longest standalone planned to date) but I’ll definitely let you know!

@keilah-h Oo, nice! Ah, I think one reason I like it so much is because of all the emotions that each character brings me, from Sam and his dad to Rinzler and Clu… It makes me want to cry, especially the ending part.

Thank you!!
I’m struggling with my first chapter and how it should begin! I’ve changed it a thousand times!😒 So I might be asking for some help/critiques coming up. I just feel like I’m info-dumping and telling too much in the beginning…I would appreciate any contributions when I put it out;)
I really like your BLF!!…[Read more]

@akbaer Sounds interesting! I have several at the moment (too many), but lately I’ve been working on a short story about a villain with a conscience.

Great topic!!
I just realized that most of my stories have a BFL and I didn’t even try to put it in there!
I guess I’ll do my MC, Emilia Taylor, from ‘The Inventor’s Daughter.’
Emilia’s BFL is that she believes that her past defines her. She was told that her parents were responsible for the fire they were killed in, which burnt down 5 apart…[Read more]

ahh I see! Well I won’t hold that against you! What about tea? I like regular black tea with honey and milk!
Yeah new things are sometimes like Bilbo’s description of adventures; “nasty disturbing uncomfortable things! Make you late for dinner!” But they can also lead to incredible opportunities!
Haha sounds like my parents too!

Yeah! I’m a big fan of Alfred Hitchcock! I’ve seen most his movies and episodes! The Twilight Zones are really cool…and creepy at times!
When I said ‘specialize’ I meant in movies! lol! I actually haven’t read a ton of mystery books,(just Nancy Drew) but it would be fun to write them! Haha! Movies I would recommend if you like myst…[Read more]
