Sounds fascinating! what’s interpolation?
Sounds interesting!
That’s a great idea! I should try it! (might be what i need to improve my action scenes)
The most recent writing advice I got was from my husband (who actually hates writing, but it was sound) about how guys vs. girls talk. He…[Read more]

Thanks! Talking about the theme doesn’t spoil anything at all! (I’m not too concerned about spoilers TBH, i like alking about my WIP so I’m happy to provide some detail that would be considered such) I actually didn’t notice how the title was aligned in the second v. the first until you pointed that out! Thanks!

Thank you!
Yes, I decided to go with A.D. Kidwell for my pen name… it’s an abbreviated version of my real name, but it was suggested and sounded much better than my original pen-name Dawn Robin.
Your drafts are a great start!

I really love your cover art! I hope we’ll get to see it once it’s polished. Are you doing a duology?
Your collage looks great!
I’ve been toying around with cover ideas for my WIP on Canva as well.

I typically struggle to get my worlds down on paper, they mostly float ambiguously in my head.
Have you considered hiring a dragon to take care of your knight problem? It doesn’t have to be a ferocious beast, it could just look really intimidating but have a weakness for muffins.
ANYWAY…
I think my strong suit is emotion.…[Read more]

Scoutillus Finch replied to the topic Topic suggestion for Biblical fiction writers in the forum Questions and Support 3 years, 1 month ago
I think that’s a very good idea. I personally don’t feel called to writing Biblical fiction currently, but I see how it could be extremely helpful to writers of that genre.

Thank you!
Yeah… Jake definitely doesn’t have it easy… but also, he kinda deserves it.
I know how you feel😂! For some reason I am always tempted to kill off every character I possess at some point.

More sad thoughts for your struggling OC:
I was going to hell anyway, so how did fifty more years of misery on this earth make a difference? I was proclaimed a goner by all.
What would God want to do with me? I found myself repulsive, not to mention the others around me.
I really hope these help. My examples are a little broody, but peppered…[Read more]

You could also show by your character’s behavior, if this influences their daily routines at all, here are some examples:
I knew i really should brush my teeth, but what was the point? It wasn’t like i was going anywhere, nor like i was going to be talking to anyone.
Who even did listen to me? My parents? They were dead……

@joy-caroline Fascinating first lines, this character sounds really interesting!
Jake laughed, his voice hollow, If you can call playing around the galaxy a life, then I have one.
Fabian disappeared behind the wall, “Why d-o you laugh?”
Jake pulled on his metal leg, bending the knee and foot joints. “You talk nonsense. Like m…

Nice to meet you! You’re story ideas sound fascinating!
One tip i can offer for finishing stories i recently discovered (being very terrible at finishing my writings) is to have an ending in mind when you start out. You can experiment with differing things, but so far, I’ve found it really helps me to have a loose idea of where I’m…[Read more]

Pleasure to meet you!
I am @ScoutFinch180. I am 19 years old and recently graduated high school. I love fantasy as well and have roughly 6 completed stories, two short stories approximately 8,000 words long, and then some pieces of flash fiction 500 to 1000+ words long. I’ve written much more than that in the form of…[Read more]
