Don’t feel bad at all!!!
I feel like I’ve been so bad at being consistent reading it anyway 😅 My summer’s going to be pretty busy, but definitely not as busy as the school year, so I’ll probably be able to read through your whole book before the end of summer! And our break starts next week, so that’s as soon as I’ll be a…[Read more]

@esther
Hi everyone!
I’ve not been on KP in a while…I kind of forgot about it during life, but recently I’ve steadily worked on my first-ever printed book! I didn’t say published, because I’m not publishing it. At least, not yet. Currently,…[Read more]

Oh yeah I totally get it. No worries! <3
Ah, I gotcha. I’m kinda there too. At least in one of my WIPs. If I really set myself loose on a different one I’ve been working on on the side, then I’d be writing a lot. XD
Ok, awesome! Glad it was helpful!
Of course!! 😊

Who owns the Math teacher? Cuz I was wondering if it would be interesting if she came across Chase. Since @savannah_grace2009 is not really active rn, I can’t really have him actually find Sef like he wanted, but I can’t think of something else for him to do.

I’ve read some more of your book! I think I stopped at chapter 16.
The only big thing I’ve noticed so far is that Sef’s expression of her grief feels a little unrealistic. Of course anyone would be devastated if their only family they had left was taken away, that part makes sense. I just felt that her hurting herself reall…[Read more]

For some reason it won’t let me reply to your comment. I memorized Singing in the Shower, and for a while I would sing it every time I showered! One of my sisters still does. And Be Like a Duck is probably my favorite! And Dance it Off, and Personal Penguin, and Ducks in a Row! -

Huh…I have always loved multiple POV first person books, because then you get into the head of multiple characters! But I know it can be confusing, it just never has been a problem for me because in my mind, every character has a distinct voice.
Yeah, maybe the ones I’ve read aren’t very good. I haven’t read many.

I forgot to tag you a second time in my post. Part of my rely to you is the last quote and paragraph on the post above the post above this one. (That’s unnecessarily complicated…. XDD)

Yeah, plotting is probably one of my weaker points of writing. 😂 The extent to which I plot varies from story to story and I’m not sure if that’s a good thing… XD
Another suggestion would be to try and write the worst first draft you could possibly write. That’s how my dad got more than 100% on a university level essay.
I may just ha…[Read more]

Out of context,if you don’t know who Buck is, you probably won’t get it, but I’ve seen some Buck Wild scenes off of YouTube, and in context 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I like first person, but I generally prefer third. Some first person books are great, like Alcatraz vs The Evil Librarians, but others annoy me. I generally dislike first person with multiple POVs because then I keep forgetting whose POV I’m in, which could be a problem with the writing. It’s more forgivable in romances,…[Read more]

@savannah_grace2009 I don’t mind first person.
Most of my scenes involving my charrie Crosshair are written in first person (especially if they don’t really have a story they’re going to be a part of, and I’m just writing them for fun). IDK why, I just like getting inside his rather traumatized head and looking at the story world through his eyes.

Ok, good, I was worried that I was losing it for a moment there lol.
I do not hate first person, I think it can be really good when done properly (I doubt anyone else has read this book, but The Door on Half-bald Hill is an example of this ((oh man I adore that book))). I just think it’s harder to get right tha…[Read more]
