SLAYING SARAAAA ✨✨

    @whalekeeper Yeah I’ve heard that idea a lot. And I’ve heard people say that it could have also come from neurodivergent kids. I know that autistic people can give neurotypical people an uncanny valley feeling sometimes. I’ve always felt connected to modern changeling characters. That idea fascinates me. But also I like the classic creepy evil…[Read more]

    Little tangent to the conversation. I’m not sure if you’ve seen this new character art, since you’re not on the royal rp. And this is the art topic. So I’ll share! :]

    This is the Moth Prince. He’s my fav and I’ve enjoyed writing about him recently. By recent, I mean the past six months or so.

    @rae

    If any of my guy charries were to be mistaken for a girl, honestly it’d be Baron rn. He’s very slender, and when his hair is long, it’s absolutely gorgeous!

    I can see that. It’s funny to sometimes realize that a character is androgynous from someone else’s perspective. I have a few who are rather androgynous, but that’s because I have a bad…[Read more]

    Sounds like it was a pretty fun rabbit trail to go down though.

    Speaking of rabbit trails, I was going to tell you – I started reading about changelings in folklore, and it’s been argued that changelings were an explanation for special-needs kids. I think that idea is so interesting and sad.

  • @elishavet-pidyon

    I grow sadder and more bitter just reading that lol.

    He is searching the world for his people, but everyone died before he got there. I think anyone in that position would grow bitter after a while.

    His story does have a lovely ending though, right? *squints through my ProtectionsquadTM Sunglasses*

    I should hope so! I’ve tried t…[Read more]

    She has some wisdom. XD

    I wouldn’t call it that

    That’s valid. I just spent 20 minutes researching the Pre-Raphealite art movement because I was wondering if it would be a better term than “medieval” for costume design. Result: it would not.

    XD that is very relatable. Sounds like it was a pretty fun rabbit trail to go down thoug…[Read more]

    Would she like sky-diving?

    Uhhhhhhhhh

    I don’t think so. She doesn’t like feeling out of control of her circumstances. She likes being up high  in trees and things because it’s calming and the view is peaceful. It makes her feel safe. She’s not thrill seeking. (I very much overthought this question)

    @whalekeeper

    But that probably made Gabriel question his appearance more than once.

    Oh yes. The hair, and the way he covers up so much made them think that, plus originally he had a more slender frame.

    Now in his story as it is currently, he works with a stone mason, so he doesn’t have lithe muscle anymore.

    In the early concepts of Gabriel’s story, the news reported that they thought the new Protector was a girl…Gabriel, upon hearing this, was positively both offended and amused.

    Maybe the Protector role will be passed down to a girl someday, so I can see why people would speculate about that. But that probably made Gabriel question his app…[Read more]

    @whalekeeper

    What is the reason for this?

    It started because the Protector isn’t under the government, and when the First Protector appeared, the government were rightfully wary of civilians trying to mess with strange monsters.

    Then it continued as partly tradition and partly that when the Protector becomes the people’s hero, it’s best to keep…[Read more]

    After all, the life of a Protector can be a lonely one as you aren’t supposed to let many people close.

    What is the reason for this?

    Gabriel: “Yes. She loves me.” *He pauses, seeming to remember something and looks away slightly as if embarrased.*

    Lucy: *Supportive, curious, and disgusted at the same time* *Doesn’t know what else to say* *G…[Read more]

    That’s… cool. Yeah, very cool. SO cool. 😐

    Girl, I don’t think you know what the word cool means.

    Wait, wait, let me defend myself! Yes, me literally killing Baron isn’t very cool, but the realization about the Elementals that resulted from it is cool!

    Btw, chest compressions save lives! Even in fiction.

    I wonder if the fairy tale is inspired by a societal problem from the time it was made up.

    Huh. I didn’t even think about that. That seems possible.

    By the way, is your flu feeling better now? And are you doing any writing these days, or more focused on other things?

    My brothers keep telling me to cheat when I’m trying to find materials for something, but can’t find it, and I think that’s so unfun.

    Oh yeah no. That is no fun.

    :-p I was a little inspired by Thumbelina. And Pride and Prejudice, come to think of it. The troll family is a bit like the Bennets, except they live in a cave and proba…

    so that’s kind of cheating if it’s for a survival project lol.

    Yeah, cheating is fine sometimes, but it’s satisfying to find other solutions when you’re building something in survival. My brothers keep telling me to cheat when I’m trying to find materials for something, but can’t find it, and I think that’s so unfun.
