I am sorry that I haven’t popped in yet. I have been thinking about it and I might be able to do it. I have a couple of anti-heroes/anti-villains I would live to throw in.
As for the vote I think 3 or 4 would work best for me.

@freedomwriter76
I think you guys are using Antagonist wrong. You are thinking of Anti-Villian. Antagonist is just the word for whatever opposes the protagonist. It is important to note that Antagonists can actually be good or in a multi-narrative book may also be a protagonist. -

Great to meet you Maggie. It is always great to meet fellow fantasy lovers. I am also an actor and have done some scriptwriting. It is also cool that you are learning Hebrew.
Now time for customary questions:
1. Opinion on The Rings of Power
2. What is your favorite drama game/warm-up?
3. Prefered acting Style

It sounds like you are talking about a Freytag Pyramid.
I can maybe give advice on that but could also give some general plotting advice.
The first part I will say is that you don’t need to stick exactly to a Faytag pyramid but it is definitely helpful. Ultimately I find it easier to think in terms of multiple Faytag pyramids…[Read more]

Otherworldly Historian replied to the topic How do y'all keep your focus on the Lord while writing? in the forum Mission, Calling & Ethics 1 year, 11 months ago
I’m not exactly sure what you mean by remembering to focus on God when writing.
If you mean like working God into my writing life/writing for Him then I usually pray/incorporate my book in my prayers. I also think that while we may want our books to do well and such @freedomwriter76 is correct that it is important to keep…[Read more]

Cool. This seems very useful. I remembered my language arts teacher mentioning it but I couldn’t find it. Thanks.

I also liked the HP books. My sister just finished them so it was fun to be able to bond with her over that. I feel that some people have misconceptions about it but I feel the series is great (though the later books are closer to being low YA so I don’t really feel the whole 3rd grade harry potter vibe is super great.)
Also in t…[Read more]

I agree with you and think you will do a good job. Also I think that what you have going for November and Corvina seems cool as it seems to be also tied into the bigger storyline.

Some of my also characters have mental health-related issues. Also, some of them are disabled (ie Timurlyn). There are also a lot of characters with very twisted minds (especially the maurozirs (and Pijiny 😑).
As for PTSD I could probably help a bit. I already have done some…[Read more]

Hello.
I literally joined earlier this week do I am not the best person to ask but I would love to introduce myself.
I mostly write (and read) fantasy/sci-fi. My current (and only really worked on) WIP is a series called the Kharvian Anthology. It is kind of complicated and I would mostly recommend looking at the WIP forum…[Read more]

@godlyfantasy12
I totally understand. I am like a super huge procrastinator. I used to/sometimes feel the exact same way.I also completely understand the darkness thing (I only started reading darker fantasy stuff recently and know people who don’t and sometimes I really want them to read a really good book I read but know it would be too d…[Read more]

@folith-feolin is very much correct in terms of inspiration. I would say that history is definitely a very good resource for inspiration. One thing he didn’t mention that also links kind of to my motivation for writing Kharvia is that I really enjoy darker fantasy novels as I feel they often have really complex plots and e…[Read more]

In the actual book the world-building would not be as much of a lore dump and probably be more one at a time.

The reason why I asked if Karpenta was an island is because you had mentioned a smaller island between the two continents. Does this island have a name?
There are actually a bunch of little island chains in the middle but I haven’t really named them yet.
I really need a map but all my attempts (which is like 2 tries for like 15 minutes…[Read more]

Thank you.
A couple questions…is there an advantage living on one of the continents versus the other?
There is. Some weather-type stuff (ie the storms) but that is not the main reason. The main reason it is better to live in the eastern one is that it is more developed. Also, some countries have better living standards than others. T…[Read more]

That is not highly relevant. Also, I am not a geneticist and all of my stuff is limited to freshman BIO.
But fine. It would help clarify.
You can only have one of the aethrine abilities or be a Glaurae and have all of them. I was kind of thinking (and this is all speculation since the Kharvians don’t understand…[Read more]

@folith-feolin helps me a lot with idea generation and editing but Kharvia is mostly mine.
I might have missed something because that was a lot of reading, but do you guys have a currency yet? Or does it very by location?
