@nanisnook Of course! And it’ll also save you more work – if you go in and write the ideas now, then you can write fluidly about those same ideas as the story goes on. 🙂

1. To be honest whenever I come up with new ideas I just add them halfway through and then later go back and add them in the beginning. Saves a bit of time.
2. Totally! Usually my chapters are 6 and a half pages, sometimes they’re 13.

Welcome back! So good to see you again! 😀 <333
I think it’d prob be easiest to go back to the beginning and add them in from there. 🙂
Yes, that’s totally okay! I know mine average from (…lemme go check…) anywhere from eight to 1/4 a page, depending on the book. (I think some of it also depends on the POV, whether it’s…[Read more]

@nanisnook Welcome back! Yeah KP can make me feel guilty too…but I recently started working on a short story so I feel a bit better about it now haha
Honestly, I might just go back (if you’re working in a Word/Google doc) and put some comments in the places where I want to add those ideas. But if they are huge things that affect everything in…[Read more]

@nanisnook Heyyy welcome back!Â
andyeahItotallygetyou. KP is good about thatI think you should go back and add the ideas in. You may forget later on which will result in a “lopsided” draft, so it’s usually best for me if I go back XD *cough* but also I’m terrible at going back and adding in so don’t mind me *cough*
As a reader, I can usually…[Read more]

I, personally, would go back and add those things. You don’t want to forget about it and not add it in! So ngl I’d prob just do that.
Also, it is 100% okay for chapters to be different lengths. My chapters range from 6 or 7 pages to more than like twelve sometimes. It’s totally fine! 🙂 Every author writes differently!

Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone would be interested in reading the first chapter of The Inventor’s Daughter! This is my first time asking for a critique so it’s pretty exciting! Let me know and I can share it by email. I would like it to be read before Friday afternoon if not that’s ok!
God bless!

Hello!!
I joined the Kingdom Pen forum back in December and made a few appearances, but I only just now got around to introducing myself!
Writing has been a passion of mine for a long time, but Kingdom Pen was really the place that encouraged me to get serious about it. About 4 years ago, I began reading the articles, stories, and poetry― as w…[Read more]

Hello, KeePers!!
I just recently finished the first draft of The Art of Deception, which is a clean sci-fi. No bad words, fairly mild violence.
That being said, I’m looking for readers who are willing to read through a messy first draft and pinpoint spelling errors, plot holes, things that don’t make sense, etc. Any feedback/thoughts are needed…[Read more]

Natalie C. replied to the topic What's the most recent book you've finished? in the forum Topic of the Week 3 years, 3 months ago
I think I liked the first book the best, when everyone was together. But I also loved the battle for the shire at the end of the third. The books were sooo different from the movies, which is all I had ever seen. I think I prefer the books, but I like being able to give faces to the characters from the moives.

Percy Jackson was my childhood! I started reading the series when I was nine and they still have a special place in my heart today. The Lighting Thief was the first book that made me like reading!
Whose your favorite character?
And what thing about the books surprised you the most?
Woah! I’m so glad you liked it!…[Read more]

@nanisnook ok sounds good!! Yes, I am indeed! There isn’t really a deadline for finishing it as of right now. Also, I would suggest just looking up the definition of beta reader because I’m terrible at explaining it XD
So @keilah-h @nanisnook just email roseoakauthor at gmail dot com and I will get you on there in a few days. Sorry for not…[Read more]

Hey ya’ll,
As you can see by the title, I’m trying to start a Portfolio/Blog. I’m using Wix to host it. Does anyone have any tips or advice on making an engaging website, and what it should/shouldn’t include? Also, when you have a blog, I’ve read that you should stick to one topic, is that true?? Or can I write about anything I think people would…[Read more]
