@kathleenramm I use a pen name, since I don’t really like other people knowing my real name, though for pieces I write in real life situations I use my real name. I think it’s cooler to have a name that I chose for myself, and it gives off the kind of vibe I want to give off.

I write under a pseudonym. To begin with it was just because I thought it sounded cooler and more fantastical than my real name, lol. And initials are pretty popular among speculative fiction authors (fantasy authors in particular). But as a woman it’s nice because I won’t have to worry about deciding whether or not to change the name I write by…[Read more]

@joy-caroline Currently can’t think of anything much, but I do have a short story idea that I’m expanding on, about a hitman hired to take out world leaders over enacting a law about teleportation.

To be honest, I’ve never totally gone through this problem. At one time when I first started writing, I did a little bit but I never stuck with a story long enough that it mattered. XD My current series, The Heir Saga, is probably the one book I am the most in love with and is closest to my heart, but after the end of book…[Read more]

@godlyfantasy12 One time I started a five book series that turned into thirty-six books and now is sitting at fifty-books and boy can I tell you I am sure glad I am out of ideas. Every day I lament over my former self’s cruelty towards me, but alas, I must finish this. Pros: I have greatly increased my writing speed. Cons: This is going to take a…[Read more]

@glorifychrist Yeah, I’m currently working on two long projects and a short story.
We have a lot of authors here who know about self publishing! You’ll probably meet them at some point, haha.

@glorifychrist That sounds great! I’d love to hear more about your work!
I write fiction, usually crime/slice-of-life/fantasy, and I’m always working on long projects and short projects.
What are you hoping to do with your projects once they’re finished?

@glorifychrist Welcome! What a coincidence, I just finished CWW as well! It’s great to have you here! I’m Linyang, though most here call me Lin.
What kind of things do you like to write? Is there any particular project that you’re working on now?

- Silver Spoon – A funny yet deep series about farm school; really hit hard with graduating high school and all, by the author of Fullmetal Alchemist so I highly recommend it
- 20th Century Boys – A classic story of good versus evil, one of the most emotional pieces I have ever read, another one of Naoki Urasawa’s best works

@trahia-the-minstrel Hm… Well, pretty much everything I can think of has swearing in it, so I’m afraid not a lot of my reccs will be completely clean. Yotsuba&! is one of my favorite wholesome slice-of-life mangas with no anime adaption, about a little girl, so it should be enjoyable for adults, and probably for kids as well. Other than that,…[Read more]

@kathleenramm Don’t feel bad, I can hardly read anything besides manga now. But for the sake of this discussion I’ll leave manga out of it.
