@kathleenramm May is a… bounty hunter? and has martial art skills? and a loyal brother? She sounds like such a fun person to be ^.^
It’s hard to choose one character to be, I feel like each one of them has a huge chunk of me in them, twisted in a different way of course, and it would be fascinating and a little frightening to be what I’ve…[Read more]

I’m kind of amazed at all the crazy cool artwork you guys are posting. Wow. My jaw is dropping at the last two here, haha ^.^ Keep it up you guys.
@gracie-j I have a bit of fan-art for your Daughters of the Seven Seas series, but I didn’t draw it (I hope this counts as art!). I was playing with words and pictures, and thought of Crimson wh…[Read more]

@e-k-seaver Two Kinds of Hurt almost made me cry. I love how you wrote that, it’s so raw it’s refreshing even while it hurts.
I feel you with your update <3 -

A little late to the party, but hello @daisy-torres thank you so much for resurrecting this thread and sending a wave to the musicians. I get you though, about not being in the mood when composing ; )
I’m a (very) amateur guitarist, a sometimes songwriter, and an always pianist. I sing, but I’m not a soloist, usually I’m alto when the fam g…[Read more]

So. I realize that I should probably start us off. And I also realize the last poem I wrote was in June 2020? (yeah, it’s kinda bad…) It’s not a very strict poem, I wrote it in a moment of brokenness and utter weariness (hence the title), but hopefully it’ll be a bit of an encouragement to some one out there : ) And please, if you have any fe…[Read more]

So, I know you all are out there – poets, poetry-lovers, and the like…
For all of us, I thought it would be fun just to have a thread where we can share random bits of poetry, funny poems, somber poems, lyrical poems, nonsense poems, one sentence gold-mines – anything, really, just for the sake of getting it out there and hearing feedback,…[Read more]

It’s so good to meet you, Abigail! We’re so glad that you’ve joined us : )
If I may ask some questions (and please don’t feel obligated to answer!), why do you like to write? Are you looking toward writing as a career, or is it just something you’d rather keep as a hobby? What are some of your favorite things in life? And if…[Read more]

@e-k-seaver Young adult fantasy, yes more recently. Horror, not so much… I’m usually cautious venturing into it just because, well, I don’t like being horrified and I’ve heard a lot of horror is way too gruesome or gross. I’m sure there are good books in that genre, I just have never had any recommendations before and I’d rather not go e…[Read more]

Oh, you know actually it might be more the font of your name at the bottom. I don’t know. I took another look at it again and I liked it better. So maybe I’m wrong : )

I love the huge moon xD It gives off this mysterious vibe that would intrigue me if I was seeing this for the first time in a book store.
You said to be brutally honest. Well, I hope I’m not brutal, but if I’m honest, something doesn’t seem… quite right (to me) about the letters. Maybe it’s the font, or maybe it’s the key, or t…[Read more]

Okay. So, finally getting around to this, sorry it’s taken a bit!
On family-related titles: Yes, generally they are stand-alone, like mom or dad, when you’re referring directly to your own parent. However, if someone else is talking, they’ll say “ocaasan” – the “san” is almost inseparable in family titles like aunt, uncle, grandmother and g…[Read more]
