The Queen
When the door swung open it revealed a moon-shaped room, wrapping around a large staircase like that that you would see in a mansion, with carven banisters and white stairs, accented with a deep brown walnut wood. The tiles of the floor were made of…[Read more]

I do not have the next chapter ready because I’m still catching up from being sick, unfortunately. Most of my schoolwork for Monday is still not done 🙁

Yeah, she’s definitely cool and weird XD I might add her to the roleplay but I’ve already got so many heads to keep track of, and she probably wouldn’t fit in the setting. Because, explanation denied, she can’t actually go into the school.
You just love teasing me don’t you
Yes ma’am XD But hey, I’m telling the truth! I l…[Read more]

Aww, thank you! I’m learning.
You guessed correctly! It’s Smalls as a youngling. I changed my profile pic in honor of Green Ember’s birthday back in December, but forgot to change it back. And now I like it. XD
Yes, they are wonderful books! It was actually Green Ember that made me want to write whole stories instead of random stuff…[Read more]

XD thanks! I’m taking Japanese rn. I put it through translate too just to make sure I did it right lol.
You do! I forgot about that! Oh that’s super cool! I always like when expressions relevant to history are worked into worldbuilding.

KUN’EN
“Drop your weapons or I won’t hesitate to attack.” Came a deep voice ahead of them. At first, he couldn’t see the forms around the dark corner. Fortunately though, his eyes were used to seeing through dark waters, and they adjusted quickly.
A bellowing laugh escaped his chest when he eventually saw the threat. “Atta…[Read more]

Yeah, I think it’s important to remember that it’s never bad for a villain to be non sympathetic, it’s just all in the execution.
I would also say that it depends on the villain’s role. Sometimes you need a sympathetic villain for the story to work. But yeah, in and of themselves, a non-sympathetic villain isn’t a bad thing…[Read more]

True, anti-heros are separate from villains. The mere fact that he can be considered an anti-hero can push him over to likeable, though not always.
Yeah, some of these villains you can root for for different reasons. Some are sympathetic with sad backgrounds, others and just intriguing.

Well I’m sort of referencing the first character you mentioned, but I’m also speaking broadly. There’s plenty of stories where people root for the villain, despite them not being redeemable.

He’s not truly a “good guy” and does some horrible things, but he’s also not totally evil either, and has depth that makes me think what he might’ve become if things had gone differently for him.
Yes, I like that point. I think that is the main difference between, “tragic backstory” verses “pure evil”
Are they evil because of what has…[Read more]

Yeah, that’s the thing is that even characters that so far gone are characters that sometimes are rooted for the most. They want something, they have a reason for it, and in following them, it makes you like them. This can be the case even when you see nothing redeemable about them.

hehe my brother called his pacifier “Ash” for some reason? He didn’t literally name it, he just said the word that way for some reason lol
Lol. I called them “passies” and for a time they were named after my cousins.
My co-op notes were full of cute dinosaur characters giving their opinions on logic and Spanish.

You guessed correctly. 😉 It’s a drawing I did of Jupiter Smalls as a youngling. (He might be my favorite character.) I swapped my profile pic in honor of Green Ember‘s birthday back in December, but forgot to change it back.
