Hi! Thank you! I’m Miranda or Ribbon Ash, depending on where you may go on the blogosphere. I don’t know if you’re a blogger or you read blogs, but I’m known as both names. You can call me whatever name you like. ^_^ Yes, fantasy and fiction! Those are so my areas! I’ve written some poetry but it didn’t really click with me. I really…[Read more]

Lin replied to the topic What is giving you the most joy & the biggest headache in your WIP? in the forum Topic of the Week 5 years, 7 months ago
@kathleenramm Headache? For my written one, I guess, my main headache is that I never plotted anything. So it feels like kinda that I’m riding down a hill on an out-of-control bike.
Biggest joy? That I’m actually getting it done. I’m glad to train my writing muscle to handle that much writing every day.

Hello! *waves* Thank you! It is wonderful to be here!
Thank you! No, I didn’t. I can’t draw that well. It is by one of my best friends, who was so nice as to draw one of my being species from one of my WIPs! I ask so to have that extra inspiration for how I imagine them to look like. I adore it so much that I made it my profile…[Read more]

@kathleenramm Hi! Thank you!!! 🙂
Thank you so much!!!!!!!!!! 🙂 Me and my sisters started it at the same time. The site went up last summer but it was in the works since last spring. I guess when covid hit the blog was like our project since we suddenly had extra free time. And also, last spring, we had attended a writing webinar that was hosted…[Read more]

Hey, weirdo writers are the best.
Well, I first started out my series with one book. Then one turned into three, and I kept having new ideas about supplemental history books and prequels and offshoot series books and now it’s kind of turned into its own thing. XD
Yeah, I think ATLA is really good! My favourite characters are Sokka…[Read more]

I really only have one major writing goal (even if that’s the only thing I achieve with writing, then I’ll be happy), and that’s finishing my novel. I’ve been writing on this novel for a looooooong time, so if I can have it completely finished/edited/ready to be sent to a publisher by this time next year, I’d be over the moon ^-^…[Read more]

My writing goal this year is to finish my WIP, The Snow Warrior.Â
To publish a short story.
And of course make another 50k in the next NaNoWriMo.

@kathleenramm Thank you! The blurb is this:
Dragon ink allows writers to set history in stone—or to change it.
Duyên Lai’s dreams are realized when she’s admitted into the ranks of the calligraphers, authors considered trustworthy enough to defend time from those who would change it. She’s thrilled at the opportunity to record her country’…

Aight, I saw this idea on another forum and decided to steal it as well…with some changes, perhaps.
In the real world there are many famous landmarks, both manmade and natural, that have become iconic sights known the world over. There’s the great wall of China, the moai statues of Easter Island, the Grand Canyon, the pyramids of Egypt, and so…

@kathleenramm The Hunger Games sound like such a cool series. I’ve got the first book, and I’m hoping to dive in soon. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts and a little more on the other books, too. I’ve added them to my ever-growing TBR list : )

@seekjustice I’m over here bemoaning the fact that you just dismissed Oliver Twist and Pride and Prejudice in the same paragraph, haha. It’s so interesting to hear everyone else’s opinions, but it makes me sad when people don’t like the books I love ; )
@kathleenramm Perhaps one of the things I love most about Pride and Prejudice is how Aus…[Read more]

Heyooo!!!!! Ok. So I’m looking for books to read while hunkering down in quarantine… 😉
I’ve heard so many AMAZING things about Brandon Sanderson’s books, but I’m not sure which ones I should try first.

2)Â Or any other random book suggestions that you absolutely ADO…[Read more]

Everyone has already said my absolute least favourite book, Pride and Prejudice, so I’ll mention another very popular book I really, really hated. I could not bear Oliver Twist, it was awful, it was boring, it was convoluted, Oliver wasn’t even a person, more of a plot point. This was highly disappointing because I love Dickens (h…[Read more]
