All the same principles that make any character good applies to an Indian character. So I suggest doing a lot of research on what makes a character well-developed, complex, and what makes them feel real. There’s a lot of articles on KP about that.

I don’t usually write it down right away. I usually just let it percolate (my favourite word, mainly because its so bizarre) in my head for a while. Haha, I get it. Writing a full length novel is a slow, arduous (but fun) process. My siblings and I are still working on the first installment of our serial novel. :p
