I simply have a hard time stopping my writing flow.
My WIP at the moment is a four-part book series, but was intended to be just one book. My issue was I couldn’t let go of my beloved babies after spending such a long time on them XD (Also the first book has a very sad dramatic ending and I couldn’t mentally live with myself…[Read more]

@kathleenramm I thought it was going to be more of a struggle between whether or not androids and humans have a difference and what it means to kill one… It took more of a 1984 direction, hhhh…

Wow, I was just looking through topics and found this. This is a great idea! Honestly, I don’t know who I’d pick.

@kathleenramm I just saw your reply about Feathertail’s problems…sorry I replied so late. But yes, that would be kinda wrong but also funny. Especially since she’s the kind of person who would never do that herself–she’s a sort of paradoxical character, because she’s a sniper in her world’s army, but she’s actually a really kind person…[Read more]

Actually, I have a suggestion! The InvestiGators series by John Patrick Green. They’re a graphic novel series my brother loves. We first saw them at a gift shop at an alligator nature park–and they’re hilarious! They are kids books, and I realize many of you are adults, but I still recommend them. They’re about a pair of alligators, who also…[Read more]

@keilah-h Oh, it’s very good. Of course, it does require an acquired taste, but I love it a lot.

@sparrowhawke That actually sounds cool–and funny!
@devastate-lasting My dad read Fahrenheit 451 once. I haven’t read it, though. I didn’t think it’d be that interesting.

@joy-caroline Hmm, interesting question! Like everyone else said, I think it depends on the story. I mostly write fanfics, but I have done some extensive worldbuilding even with those, and sometimes, a duology, trilogy, or longer series is what tells the story best. And sometimes I have stories which are connected, but aren’t necessarily a…[Read more]

@kathleenramm I’m not sure if I’ve ever read something and thought, “That was strange.” But if I had to choose one I would choose Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? I was pretty confused throughout it, haha. I like it ok, but definitely not my favorite. Fahrenheit 451 all the way. Also, the way I read the synopsis and the way I thought that t…[Read more]

Me: I want to write a five part series. Let me come up with enough plot to fill it.
Also me: This plot idea feels like it’s gonna be a three part series.
That’s basically it haha. Depends on how much plot idea you have.

@joy-caroline Ooh good question! I am someone who always makes the mistake of turning books into series when they should probably just be standalones. I think one of the ways to tell is to take a look at the scope of the story: if it is big and covers a long period of time with a lot of important events taking place in that passage of time, it…[Read more]

@madelyn Thank you!! Honestly I think my biggest problem is turning off my inner editor, since because I listen to it, I end up adding things that I think would sound good from an editing perspective but that creatively fall flat and sound pretty boring when compared to the fun and unexpected things I’d been writing before. I’ll be sure to keep…[Read more]

@jodi-maile So sorry for being late, but I completely relate to you about the tone struggles, since I’m having them for one of my current works. I guess what I would say is either:
a) leave it alone for a very long time and start anew or something at some point
b) finish it, decide what you like or don’t like about it, and restart
c) leave it…[Read more]

I did this sketch for Inktober, but it turned out SUPER cool, so… posting it here. XD Kim Seokjin from BTS, with the prompt “suit” incorporated into the sketch! I added suits of cards as well as him wearing a literal suit lol.
