Yeah, this stage doesn’t want to end. There’s so much to sort out!
Welcome! If you want to know about anything particular about his books, I’d be glad to help, if I can. 🙂
Did you know that at one time the English banned bagpipes as weapons of war? The Scotts used them like battle horns, and according to records, the bagpipe’s…[Read more]

Aww, it’s so sweet and musical. I like how you incorporated melody into it, and your description of Aaria’s death is beautiful. It’s one of those stories that obviously has a backstory but more isn’t really needed.

Thank you! I’m still in the plotting-building stage, but I think I like how it’s going.
I haven’t read beyond his Arethtrae series, but what I’ve read of his is good. We really like the Knights of Arethtrae.
Bagpipes can sound sad…and warlike.
Hmm, Geechee sounds interesting; I’ve never heard of it. Why do you like…[Read more]

Hi there! It’s good to meet you! (Sorry if I’m a bit late)
I’m Elishavet, and I have two main WIPs. One is about three children, heirs of a crumbling kingdom. (Dramatic!) The second is a retelling of various testimonies in an allegorical world (Sneaky!).
Your non-fiction sounds lovely. (I get the intimidating part)
I think I…[Read more] -

I saw redish too.
Also I didn’t see that part quite like the illustrator did, so I was shocked when I saw that pic. (I was reading it on my phone, hence the delay between scene and pic) I agree with the proportions, but why wasn’t my imagination consulted before the picture was drawn? XD
It’s okay. I’m used to it. My imagination usually sees…[Read more]

OooOooOooo, everyone’s covers are intriguing….
Ah, Eirtan…I guess Yartas might not be the only other country in the brother-nations. 😉
S. isn’t in there, but Amichai is. 😉
I’ve been thinking a good route might be making the cover look like an old leather bound book with images embossed (like a Shepherd’s crook,…[Read more]

Your series is beautiful. I usually don’t read Biblical fiction, because sometimes authors deviate from scripture which only serves to confuse my view of a Bible character. Yours sounds so good, though, and I’m excited to see where you’ll take it!
Awww, Seth sounds like a wonderful character to write and read about. I have a similar person in…[Read more]

Wow! Those are amazing. The layout is intriguing, and I think it’s awesome that you’re doing your own cover art! I want to do mine as well, but first I have to sort out my plot. (And settle on what layout, media, even characters to use) 😉
Anyway, those are astounding. Also, for a rough sketch, the top girl in the second…[Read more]

Hmm, maybe! You’re most certainly welcome to. Your story sounds interesting indeed!!!
That opening post was a bit unclear. (Oops) I was in a poetic mood at the time of its authorship.
Thank you for your wonderful imput, it was encouraging. Don’t worry about being late to reply. I’m often not the quickest myself,…[Read more]

@keilah-h Aww, thank you! 🙂
Yeah, that kind of tongue-in-cheek wit is a bit prevalent in my writing. It’s not always a good thing…but I like it here. 😉

Welcome! 😉
*Note* I was wondering the same thing as @anatra23. Is it a dialogue?

This is a fascinating poem. I especially love the last stanza, and the others are very good too. The imagery is particularly intriguing to me, as well as the change in meter at the end of each stanza.

The author of this poem, who at the moment is doing the dishes and thus can’t access her phone, has requested I tag a few people to look over this. (I think that’s what she said.)

You’re welcome! I can’t think of anything, but then, there might be something like that one of the mythology enthusiats here would know about. I don’t know much about fantasy in that direction myself.
Actually, Artham did inspire a character/creature in one of my books: essentially, the eagle I described above.
I was facsinated with…[Read more]

Wow, we do share quite a few favorite authors!
You like researching/designing fashion? Approximately, what eras hold the most interest for you, and what do you enjoy about it?
Personally, I enjoy learning about and recreating old clothing because I love history, and anyway, it’s great for world building! (Plus, hey, dressing up is fun.) 😉

Hmm, I’m not sure. The most similar thing besides angels (not fantasy, agreed) I can think of is either a pegasus or a huge eagle.
An eagle with a ten foot wingspan, strong protective instincts, and ready to sacrifice all if it would help those close to it.

And yes, that was MUCH more than needed. I got a bit carried away, I’m afraid.
My sincere apologies.

Thank you! (It’s a phrase deeply precious to me.)
Yours is beautiful too. I love a good quote!
As for my allegorical WIP, not only would I like to share it, but I need to hash it out with someone other than my sister. (Not that that is her fault, she’s a wonderful person to work stuff over with, and she’s welcome to comment on it,…[Read more]

I don’t know if I’m good at world building, but I completely agree. It’s fun.
Ban Rona was a mess. Yes, I fought, what’s more, I fought for my life. Those battles are longer in experience than in the records.
Edmund taught you? Wow, that must have been an amazing experience. I’m currently under the training of Master Sejus. 😉

I heard a few if the Piano Guys’ stuff, but it was a while ago. They’ve done a lot of good arrangements basing off what I’ve heard.
Yep, Beethoven’s work is beautiful, but I’m definitely not there yet. 😉
Who’s my favorite wingfingy character? Artham, Janner, or Kalmar, but perhaps Sarah or Arundel? (Or Nia…) It’s hard to choose,…[Read more]
