Aw, Lucille… I like Lucille.
I think I like her dad. Is he Dali?
I also found her description of her hair fascinating. Is it just metaphor, or does it have an important part in the plot/worldbuilding?
Those other kids are bullies. 😠 The struggle of wills in the fight was really good though. I liked how you focus on her not throwi…[Read more]

Signing in for the long haul. I can look for rogue grammar and suspicious word choices.
Code key: nuanced syntax.

Oh Sarah. Sorry I didn’t see your request earlier. Know I’m praying too! Believing God will be with you in the middle of the stresses.

It is Google docs….. I’ll have to try using Word as a go-between. It doesn’t mess anything else up, but it’s like Scrivener thinks my pasted sections are all links.

Three refugees find out their adoption was fraud and set out to destroy the government with the help of an oversized bird and a few underpaid zealots.

This is fantastic. Fantastic. It summoned me from my piano quicker than Susan’s horn.
Now I’ve gotta make one. XD This’ll take a bit.

Update!
I got Scrivener, and after playing around a bit, I think I’m going to love it. I still haven’t figured out some of the quirks like how to paste into it without turning everything blue. However, I love how it has alowed me to organize each WIP into one individual file with multiple subfiles. It’s also nice to have it off line, so I can…[Read more]

You can do it! I would love to see it when it’s done, if you want to share, and if that helps give motive.
(But I totally get what you mean. I have a drawing I’ve been slowly working on, off and on, for about a year. All I have left are her feet and half her hair, but it’s still sitting on my desk, unfinished.)

Girl! That is so beautiful. I love it. The colors make a lot of sense. The moon is lovely, as are the leaves and his expression, in my opinion. I feel like I can really envision him now. My mental image has been edited. 😀 Thank you for sharing!

I don’t even know who to tag in this conversation. XD I loath sluggs. They’re cute in theory, but they also creeped me out as a little child. I struggle with slimey/sticky things already, so they just aren’t my thing. Lol.
My mother likes Banana slugs though. She has a sticker with one on it beside the name of her home state. (It’s a cute…[Read more]

Ah, it’s adorable! I love the leaves and the way his hair is and the clean lines of the mouth. The details and proportions fit together perfectly. I’m very glad you posted it. 😁

Elishavet Elroi replied to the topic Anyone interested in organizing a "writing group" over the summer? in the forum General Writing Discussions 1 year ago
An accountability group like this would be great! Consistently writing large sections is not my strong point, lol. I have a fairly intense job this summer, but I’m still hoping to write in breaks, since I’m currently free of college.
I’m also not very comfortable with sharing much of my actual writing on an open forum like this.…[Read more]

I should be available those first two dates. I won’t be the 7th. Ironically, it’s for a different zoom call. XD (intern stuff, not some rival group. 😉 )

That’s fantastic. *arms arsenal*
Your examples make a lot of sense. If Aragorn had died, his character arc and the whole theme of restoration would just be swamped in a big dramatic Fading. As for Frodo, in the end of Two Towers we’re given a glimpse of what it would be like if he dies=d and Sam had to take the ring, but as the…[Read more]

That’s amazing! It’s wonderful what He has done or us. As the old song goes, “When I think of the goodness of Jesus,/ and all he has done for me, my soul cries out,/ Hallelujah, Thank God for saving me.”
I love how many different analogies there are in scripture for God and his relationship with us.
One of my recent favorites…[Read more]
