@calidris very good! you’re very good at people! I am terrible and people and can’t use color in my art or I ruin it XD I guess what I mean is good job because it takes talent to put color in art!

@calidris btw I don’t sort socks either and I actually have a pair with owls on them. Well… I just moved out on my own so I won’t be sorting socks no more, hallelujah!! I used to dig through the pile until I had them all matched XD (there’s eight people in my family, hence the reason I could actually dig in the sock pile XD )

@calidris Aw that sucks because it’s a great app. But the lab that supports it is amazing as well and if you sign up (it’s free!) you can submit your sightings and observations as well as access their library and bird pictures and sound recordings and stuff! I use it a lot.
I know right?!!! birds are so unappreciated in forms other than roasted…[Read more]

@kathleenramm thanks!!
the idea for the fantasy one was a griffin keychain pendant and an idea that sprouted from my childhood world I invented when I was about 10.
The inspiration for the sci fi was… um… good question. XD wanting to try my hand in it and the character was based on my personality but obviously not my life lol.
Honestly……[Read more]

Well, you can share some things you enjoy, so you’re off to a good start 😉

@kathleenramm intriguing!!
My plot stake? in my fantasy it’s these:
Stake 1: If they fail the world is destroyed by giant dragons.
Stake 2. If they fail they die in painful ways and goblins take over what is left of said demolished world.
my sci-fi novel…
1: If they fail to keep away from the lab that screwed up their genetics and made them…[Read more]

@nanisnook ok sounds good!! Yes, I am indeed! There isn’t really a deadline for finishing it as of right now. Also, I would suggest just looking up the definition of beta reader because I’m terrible at explaining it XD
So @keilah-h @nanisnook just email roseoakauthor at gmail dot com and I will get you on there in a few days. Sorry for not…[Read more]

yes, poor Colin. It also shows how critically important parents are; if you don’t teach your child to be confident and a little independent, they literally cannot do things for themselves. And yes, he’s not a character I want to relate to but I can and it is encouraging to see his transformation!
as for my writing style… it was…[Read more]

@kathleenramm Yes Tolkien was an amazing author! My inspiration for writing style is partly from him but less ‘fancy wording’ if you get what I mean XD simpler English.
Aww yes Colin is such a good character for a positive character arc. His character lie is big, isn’t it? I suppose he’s very relatable; he may be a brat to begin with and a…[Read more]
