Hi Ilena! Welcome to the forum! I’m Lydia. 🙂
Ooo, your WIP sounds super cool! Do you have dragons in it?
Actually, I completely agree with you about Tolkien! He was a genius. I enjoy Shakespeare as well! I’ve only read six of his plays (and I watched Henry V); maybe I’ll read more someday! By Lloyd Alexander, do you mean you’ve…[Read more]

YESSSS!!!! Another GE fan!!!! (Helmer forever! Just sayin’.😉) XD Love that series… Wow, a lot of those authors are new to me! I’ve heard of Chuck Black, and I think his books are on my to-read list. I’ve heard of Rick Riordan too.

Sounds great! That might be the type I do myself… When I get around to trying to writing my blurb that is. 😛

Ooo… That’s awesome!!! Makes me want to read more. 🙂 I love how you bring it to where it seems like the story is over and then there’s a plot twist. And I know this might be confidential material, but I have to ask: is there a traitor? It sounds like there might be… I love traitors!!! I have two in my main WIP, and…[Read more]

Lydia S. replied to the topic What is your favorite type of hero and why? in the forum Topic of the Week 5 years ago
I have to echo what Ella said. I LOVE characters who are hardened and tough on the outside, but hurting and vulnerable on the inside. Usually, they’re not the main character, and usually, I love them more than the main character. 😛 The best example I can think of of this type of character is from The Trimont Trilogy by Jessica…[Read more]

That’s awesome! I’ll have to check your blog out sometime. Maybe I’ll start one myself soon! I know it’d be my author page, but I just don’t know what I’d post about… 😛

Sorry for the late answer. Life got busy. 🙂
Wow, you write about some complex topics; I love it!
I love reading too! I used to be a major bookworm; now, I’m more of a writing-worm (if that’s a thing 😜). Who are your favorite authors? Some of mine are Jennifer Erin Valent, Louisa May Alcott, S.D. Smith, and L.M. Montgomery.
I love…[Read more]

Of course! Glad you joined!
1. I’ve heard a lot of good things about Shannon Messenger’s KOTLC series! I haven’t read it yet though.
2. Nice name choices! I’d do either Bethel, Shiloh, Selah, or Shalom. Probably Shiloh or Bethel.
3. Frozen yogurt is good, but I have to concur with you. Ice cream is the best! 🙂

Totally agree with you, girl. LOTR forever! 😛
Isn’t it?! I act out so many scenes,
many of them just me envisioning possible future scenes. I guess since it’s enjoyable and helps us connect with our characters, I’ll do it forever. We’ll just look ridiculous together!Oh, those sound fun! It really is hard to pick favorite songs.…[Read more]

This is a late response, but I figured I’d pop in anyway. 🙂
I completely get what you’re saying. I’m in the same place with my WIP myself: working through another rewrite (I’m seeing a fourth looming in the distance *sigh*) and working on a scene which, at the moment, is pretty technical and (in my eyes) boring. I’ve been, and…[Read more]
