Thanks! Move went well!
Thank you, I’d like to try. I’m actually going through my 1st draft and realizing “oh my word! this character is waaaay too elusive!” like, she’s orphaned, yes, but her adopted family is sort of ‘there’ and not there. Like, her cousins are mentioned, but they never come into the story! XD that annoyed me XD so I have added…[Read more]

uhhh wow!!! I love it! so good
sorry I’m late on commenting.
I really like it! The flow is fitting, in my opinion; like, how I imagine the queen from how you describe is; lost, suspicious, somewhat regretful, bitter, and mind wandering in the past, so her thoughts are short, blunt, to the point, and not too many details added…[Read more]

my favorite backstory… oooof that’s hard
XD
well, it would have to be…
Lord Rodolpho Greco from The River of Time series; he’s a traitor for most of the series, and you’re never sure if he’ll turn on the MC because he’s so elusive and never reveals what he’s thinking, but has the skills and the power, and the elusive…[Read more]

Sorry, but I got nothing, to be honest I’m probably the type of person kingdom pen was created for.
The only reason I’m here is because @devastate-lasting tagged me, and I gotta stay on top of the whole ‘staying relevant’ thing y’know?
So yeah, I’m in the same boat as you. I shall watch the upcoming posts on this topic with…[Read more]

So, I’ve been on this forum for over a year now and I fear my popularity is starting to dwindle.
Help?
I thought I used to be something of a comic relief on this forum but I suspect I’m turning into the annoying side character.
I would especially like help from some of the more famous people on the forum.
If do help, big thank.

I know I’m late, I’m so sorry! Life became a whirlwind of activity, and I haven’t been able to get on here until now.
One way you can have the girls meet Lyn is to have them wake up to her examining them. From there, they can panic, thinking she’s going to hurt them, and you can have a lovely scene of confusion. 😉 Or they could…[Read more]

Agh, I’m late! Life got crazy busy. 🙁
If you’d like/have the time to make another collage, you could do one for one of the books I’m co-writing! It’s titled Falling. Some of the themes are dragons, black snake/scales, forests, traitors, comas/sickness/near death, and blacksmiths. It’s in a tribal/Viking fantasy-type world. :D…[Read more]

Super late to this thread (life has become a whirlwind of activity…), but honestly, I do not have much experience with children’s POVs. Oh, fun! That sounds like a very smart job. 🙂
Yes, Susan! 🙁 I think (desperately hope) that she does end up in Narnia… (Aslan did say “Once a king or queen of Narnia, always a king or queen”) I think she was just trying to be grown-up… That could just be my older sister bias coming through though… 😛
Well, I am grateful…[Read more]

@Kathleen
I personally think that Edward and Alphonse from Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood had a pretty epic backstory (it was pretty epic) one of them lost an arm and a leg, and da other lost their whooole body (it was pretty bloody and epic, if I do say so myself)
They also have blonde hair, and as a blonde hair user myself, i must say I can…[Read more]
