Oh storms I LOVE younger charries! I have a lot of those, and I think that it’s good to give each child a distinctive personality and spirit, but also, it’s good to keep in mind that children think differently from teens. Sounds like it was inspired by animals living in the grasslands and savannas. Do you and your sister each have one character, or are there other important characters? Why didn’t the Diceros go?

So me and my sister each do four characters, which kind of ties into your other question. My sister does four of the seven who went to the mountain, and I do three of them plus a Dicero Commander named Izor. He plays a big part because he helps the seven with his army.

Your sister has mentioned working with you on multiple occasions. What’s the story about?
Hmm, I like writing fantasy, but sometimes I’ll go the more sci-fi vein with superhero stories. (Although I’ve never actually finished a book XD). I enjoy the exaggerated and the ridiculous, so some of my character’s descriptions have a cartoony feel.

I agree with @mineralizedwritings – I am a huge advocate for letting your characters live, unless there’s a clear reason to kill them off. But if you really want to kill a character, like I said, there needs to be a clear reason – and that reason is usually the conclusion of that character’s arc, OR to be a force which gets the ball rolling in…[Read more]
