Catching story. You have peaked my interest. 🙂
A critique,
“Suddenly, the form moved, throwing a knife that hit the boy straight through the heart. A cry barely escaped the boy’s lips as he fell, dead, directly at the slave girl’s feet. She stared into his dead eyes and cowered. ”
How do they/you know the knife when straight through his…[Read more]

Prologue
The jaguar picked up his knife and carefully, methodically, weighed its balance in his paw. It was no longer a toy, his long scar and two missing claws could bear record. With a flick of his wrist he tossed the six inches of sharpened steel up into the air. It revolved once, flashing in the candle light, then, came down like…[Read more]

@scripter-of-kingdoms 🙄 Oh, come on. You joined KP only like 6 months before I did, and I’m still active*. If I could get an college degree in the time I’ve been here, and still pop in occasionally, you can too. 😎😛
* I stalk the halls of KP and post a random rant here and there. It’s enough.

@rae Oh, there have been may wars, battles, and fights. (The Battle of Foggs Stand, The Siege and Burning of Fenton, The Siege of Newfenton, The War of Wolvish Hostility, The Tine Mountain War, ect).
It would really depend on what part of the country, the creatures, and the culture. The Cheetah shock troops from Consistent (A city named after a…[Read more]

Quite simply really. Add 2 plus hotdog to dance with a rabbit. Then, take the water bottle by the nose and hurl it with great favor out a wisdom. Finally, read Once Upton A. Tim by Henry XIII and you get the answer. (But only if you don’t do it in that order backwards.)
p.s. Warning, beware the dishwasher.

@rae The Miska Chronicles, but it’s more like a WOFC (Work in the Filing Cabinet)
I have only been able to discover/learn about 350-500 years of Miskan history, but most of that knowledge generally falls within the last 130 year. (This was when a brilliant ruler (I believe it was Queen Esma the Loyal, but don’t quote me on that.) final came to…[Read more]

Swords are overrated.
Bows and pole weapons are much better.

@rae here is a critique from the tactical geek. 🫡
“one teen who didn’t know the skill of at least one weapon well”
“He had no weapons”
“and not able to do anything for lack of a weapon”
One of the important principles in fighting knowhow is that everything is a weapon. From the belt and shoes on your body, the phone of computer you are r…[Read more]

Mayhap, it is not common knowledge (Though I believe the contrary) that when people run into a wall, then they’re cranium tends to experience much pain and woe. What concerns me is the query, why would an individual run into a wall every 5 seconds? I have come up with 3 (what I deem) logical explanations.

I think one of the best ways of writing uncomfortable/painful or possibly edge subjects is to merely state the facts and then be done, that’s how the Bible does it. (Perhaps, look at similar instances in the Bible and see how they are written.) You don’t need all the details. Sometimes the most powerful things said, are the…[Read more]
