Personally, I prefer these types of villains. It makes them seem more real and more interesting.

I write Sci-fi/fantasy. That is basically all I write actually. I would explain about my WIP but it is probably easier to just see my WIP forum.

Otherworldly Historian started the topic WIP Idea (still making outline) for Kharvia Anthology S1B1 in the forum Sci-Fi 1 year, 11 months ago
Ok. So I mentioned a bit about my main WIP series The Kharvian Anthology in my welcome forum and a couple of other places. I have been working on it for probably a year or so and am in a kind of outline phase (I am a plotter).
So the entire series is actually a group of serieses that all happen at relatively same time and which I am planning on…[Read more]

@a-lot-of-people
I am very excited that you guys are interested in my idea.
I will probably share/discuss some of my world building and story ideas and may share some of the story. I am currently still working on my plot outline but I have finished the ideas for a good number of the plot-lines (it is multi-narrative). I guess I should…[Read more]

I am also a history buff. My current WIP series is definitely inspired a lot by the first world war but it is definitely also a mash up of a bunch of other history stuff I like. I really want to capture the multi-faceted conflict and how there are villains and heroes on both sides. I think the war will definitely end differently…[Read more]

@esther-c
Makes perfect sense.My fantasy duology was originally supposed be a retelling of the story of Queen Esther, but it didn’t quite work that way.
I can relate well to this. I don’t write bible retellings but the original ideas for The Kharvian Anthology was much smaller and the only real similar thing was the technology that wou…[Read more]

I’m a recent homeschool graduate,
Ah so that makes you old and wise
🙃🙂🙃1. What genres do you read and/or write?
I mostly read (excluding required school reading) fantasy/sci-fi, and mystery.
I have only really seriously considered writing fantasy/sci-fi. I once tried semi-historical fiction but couldn’t get passed res…[Read more]

Otherworldly Historian replied to the topic This isn't exactly film but I want to write audio dramas in the forum Film 1 year, 11 months ago
I haven’t done or really listened to any audio dramas but I do write scripts sometimes (like for my Drama class). That may be similar. One thing I have found helpful is that you have to get in the head of the characters when writing and think about what they are thinking and what they want. I also find it extremely helpful to read t…[Read more]

@princesachronicle22
Definitely agree!
Wit/Hoid is probably one of my current favourites just because he is so intriguing.
I feel that Shallan is also a great example (especially in B2).I also feel like it is really fun to write characters with their psycology in mind because then you can give them a somewhat unique voice which is really…[Read more]

@princesachronicle22
@folith-feolin
I agree with what Folith-Feolin said. Also I feel that tropes are usually fine as long as you have a good enough person spin (I feel that you do). It is also the. not as much a trope. Also I love character physcology. I feel that is what makes a character well written is if they have an interesting physcology. I…[Read more] -

Otherworldly Historian replied to the topic Why hello there! in the forum Start HERE 1 year, 11 months ago
Ah. Going for a multi series world. Seems cool. My main WIP series is a multi series but it is all happening at roughly the same time.
I feel like the reasons for things is always what makes them interesting. I have taken to using the third ideal of the Knights Radiant (‘ Journey before destination’) as a kind of motto for…[Read more]

Otherworldly Historian replied to the topic New Book Idea!! in the forum Mystery 1 year, 11 months ago
This idea seems really cool. I very much like the character arc you seem to have for Miles. I think that it would be cool to have it be mostly Miles with a few chapters from Audrey’s POV.

Your WIP sounds really good. I really like stuff like that. The mystery part is cool. Also (even though it is tropish) like outlawed magic.
I love social deduction games. My family really likes this one called Salem which is semi historical about the Salem witch trials and a lot of fun.
I also enjoy werewolf.

No, she doesn’t not for me. 😐1. I would say Gandalf but Boromir has started to grow on me looking back on it.

5. Carpet.
6. Can I say both?
7. English because it is my native language. If I can’t pick that it would be ä¸æ–‡ã€‚

1. Axolotl if those count. (Also I liked them before they were added to Minecraft).
2. No. Tried it but didn’t like it. I am more of a tea person.
3. In my upstairs rocking chair on my phone. (I know it is weird 🙂).
4. No. My younger sister does though.

@loopylin
@princesachronicle22I have not read mistborn yet. It is on my list. I have read the first two storm-light books. I think the similarities could be because I have a friend who really likes them and also very much like Brandon Sandersons 3 laws of magic (basically it is his guidelines for magic/abilities/superpowers). (I would recomend…[Read more]
