@lydia-s mwahahahah well… let me pull something up out of my 1000 pages of organized chaos called a series XD
hahaah my charries sound insane out of context, but I think the lines do sum them up pretty well XD
and I love that line of yours, the shotgun one. Made me laugh out loud and startle my cousin XD

At least he dies late in the book? Or perhaps that makes it worse. Yes, he will be missed, but Viktor needs to be who he was made to be, and Ruben wouldn’t want to go any other way.
@lydia-s I know this is random, but I didn’t realize you had read the Green Ember etc. What is your favorite character/lines? We love Helmer and Jo Shanks.…[Read more]

@lydia-s — Thanks!
@anatra23  Thanks! Tbh, I didn’t really think about it much, I just made up the names lol😂 But when I was trying to figure out how to spell the names, I was listening to my older sister (who’s a linguist) talking about International Phonetic Alphabet’s pronunciation. She said in that, the vowel I generally makes an ‘ee’ sou…[Read more]

Thank you!
Yeah… Jake definitely doesn’t have it easy… but also, he kinda deserves it.
I know how you feel😂! For some reason I am always tempted to kill off every character I possess at some point.

Fantasy sounds right. If it’s more along a realistic trail like Rangers apprentice, I suppose it might be midieval fantasy.(prolly my fave genre)
How you’ve described is pretty much how I construct my book too! Usually when I’m thinking of scenes, I kind of let them roll around in my head for a bit then slap them on some paper.…[Read more]

@lydia-s so sorry for the late reply! And thank you so much for your advice, I’ll definitely keep it in mind next time I’m faced with something like this. I ended up trying to rewrite it a couple times and on about the third try, I got something I really liked! So I’ve finished that short story now 😁

Alrighty, here’s mine. It’s for my character Keenum in my YA fantasy novel, Heir to His Crown.
If you’re waiting for my blessing, then all I have to say is pray your death comes soon. Then the world would be very blessed indeed.

@Lydia-s Great idea! And I love your character’s lines. I’ll pick Rinzler (a character I made with my brother):
“How fun is that. Bring it on!”
“Hey! You guys there?”
“Nah, they’re occupied.”
Rinzler (also known as Terabyte) is a stubborn, headstrong, wild character. He’s 17, and enjoys racing motorcycles he built himself, as well as listening…[Read more]

*rubs hands together evilly* This could be fun…
Also I love those lines XD very funny and very intriguing.
“Ladies, Ladies, please. We all know it’s past your bedtime, and we’re all getting temperamental. We need a leader…”
“Leave me out of this. Your problem”
“Kiara. That’s my name. They’d take you and kill me, and you wante…

@lydia-s thanks! Well, you should at least keep it in mind 😉 trust me, I know how it feels having a ton of stories at once lol (arcs in my case – all of my stories were set in the same world)

@lydia-s chickadees are so cute! That’s great that you were able to find inspiration in their calls! Steampunk is really cool. I had a setting that was kind of like a post-apocolyptic steam punk thing, but I don’t really use it any more. Once you finish your current story, you should totally write the steampunk trilogy!

@scripter-of-kingdoms aww thanks! I’m very pleased with how he turned out – I think I captured his personality really well. That really means a lot to me!
@keilah-h thanks! Misu is a guy, but I like to draw him with softer features because he’s a very gentle and kind character (depending on who you ask – he’s an angel in disguise, so he de…[Read more]

Hello, everyone! I wanted to ask for some advice about a problem I have with a short story. Right now, I mostly do short stories, but this has been a big problem for me with novels as well.
So, here’s the problem: I’ll usually start a story with a clear idea of the direction it’s taking, the feeling I want the story to have. I’ll follow that…[Read more]

@keilah-h thank you!
@lydia-s honestly same lol. Thank you! I love him too. Redemption arcs are so good, plus I just couldn’t bear to have him suffer and then just get killed off. I just shamelessly stole his bad guy name from a bird lol. Shrikes are a really cool type of predatory songbird that hunt mice and other birds. Idk how sensi…[Read more]
