Deaths. This caught her off guard. Wren had heard about many things like the bullying problems, non-students getting arrested on campus, and the dumpster fire supposedly started by students, but there had been absolutely no information about any deaths. She nodded and swallowed, trying to look less shocked than she felt.

“Yes. What… Do you know what happened?”

She glanced around at the game, realizing that even though her mission was important to her, it was likely an inconvenience to those more focused on PE. If only they understood what was at stake. But she tried her best to be accommodating.

“Now, or whenever you have the time.” She handed him one of her cards. “But it’s only a few questions really. It shouldn’t take long.” She looked at him hopefully.

Yeah. I was picturing that it’s possible to go from one world to the other. Many worlds don’t know about each other. But some are very familiar with each other,

oh I thought that this was an au where everyone’s fantasy worlds were just separate countries in the same world. Not sure where I got that idea. I may need to rework some character things in my head.

“Excuse me, would you-” She had to stop and start again louder to be heard over the shouting and squeaking rubber balls and tennis shoes. “Excuse me, would you be willing to answer a few questions for the school newspaper?”

I just realized that Wren would have heard this whoops. I guess she just has a lot more respect for her witnesses’ privacy or something lol

Maybe. We’ll see where Reuven  directs her. It may be a bit difficult to get her into the basement. Unless you want to have the two of them to leave the basement first.
