Wilhelm was beyond panicking. He tipped up his cup and savored the last few sweet mouthfuls of his mead. It grounded him.
“I am waiting for you to return to your senses.” He set his cup down. “See here. I would love to go there, if I could. And maybe I would try if that was the only place to see miracles. But when I saw them, I didn’t go anywhere unusual, just kept my eyes open. Wonderful things are everywhere, if you learn how to look for them.
“Which is good because we really cannot go to the North Country until we die and receive judgement. I don’t think you want to kill yourself just to see something you might see anywhere.”

Yeah. I was picturing that it’s possible to go from one world to the other. Many worlds don’t know about each other. But some are very familiar with each other,
oh I thought that this was an au where everyone’s fantasy worlds were just separate countries in the same world. Not sure where I got that idea. I may need to rework some character things in my head.

See, that’s what I thought at first. But then I started picturing it this way, because some of the characters know nothing about any other country. And that doesn’t make sense unless they’re all isolationist.

I think because it accommodates everyone. It’s the only way for all the characters to make sense and not constantly contradict each other.
I’m not trying to dictate how this works, so if we want it to be different, we can try to be more cohesive. Depends on what people want to do.

Yeah, that makes everything feel closer together. It’s like this roleplay is a coat, and all the worlds are pockets. And people are squirrels nesting in the pockets, and running back and forth between pockets.
I… don’t know. I don’t want to be the person deciding this, because it seems like something everyone should decide on.
I like both ideas equally. A, everyone is in the same world. B, they’re not.
But maybe we should decide, so things stay consistent

I was kinda envisioning it with the old use of the term “world.” So the countries may be on the same planet, but some are so far away that they’re considered different “worlds” culturally, and might not have much communication with the other worlds. I also like the idea that some aren’t accessible without magic, like fairylands.

as mentioned before, I saw this as a sort of wood-between-the-worlds place, because everyone is coming from government/nobility, we sort of all have to have our own realms.
Unless everyone is in the same gigantic world and this is some school in this one country where all the noblemen are sent because of 🎶TRADITION!!!!!🎶

Morbid. Not the word he would choose, but then, was it all that different from “creature of the night?” He pushed the thought away with a shrug, a real one this time.
“Well, we could… What time is it?” Wilhelm turned to look out his window. The world outside was in that curious stage between twilight and true night. A star had appeared in the branches of a tree. “Almost night, then. Remington told me there’s a curfew, and of course we will want to rest well so our minds will be sharp. In what classes are you interested?”
That wonderful phrase came echoing back through Wilhelm’s mind. Anything… He grinned. However strange it was, father still knew best.
