Any paint can be finger paint if you don't care enough
Ellis
They reached the trees on the edge of the field and continued wandering, keeping the school in sight. The tension from the vision and finding the dead bird was eased by time and the peaceful nature surrounding them. Ellis picked up a broken branch off the ground. It could have been broken by the metal man, or just as easily fallen off on its own. He stripped off its extra twigs and then swung it around a few times like a sword. Then he pointed it at Moth.
“I think we’ve lost our quarry.”

I felt this rp needed a concerned mom character

Sarabelle
Princes were odd creatures. This, Sarabelle knew very well after working at the school as a cleaner for the past three years. She knew this well enough to tell the difference between a student being eccentric, and a student being suspicious. She paused her duties to watch one particular curly haired youth wander shiftily around the hall and poke his head into a door clearly marked “employees only”. She approached him from behind and put a hand on her hip.
“Is there something you need help finding, sir?”
He started and almost dropped his glasses as he turned to face her.
“Dining hall is that way,” Sarabelle continued, pointing. “But breakfast is almost over by now.”
“Uh, no,” the boy said, regaining his composure, “I ate already… well, actually-” He shook his head. “Nevermind. I’m looking for something else.”
Her eyebrows raised. “Which is?”
Again, his shifty demeanor returned. “Can you… not tell anyone?”
Lois
The servant neither confirmed nor denied the request. She just stood there, watching him expectantly. Lois started to explain anyway. He wanted it off his chest. As he explained, the servant’s eyes crinkled in amusement.
“Your first day and you’ve already lost an entire robot?” Then her eyes widened slightly and she seemed to check herself.
“Um. Yes.”
“Well,” the servant huffed and looked back at her cart of cleaning supplies. “I am pretty much done with my chores for the morning. This is quite an interesting predicament you have. I can help you look.”

@whalekeeper Yeah I’ve heard that idea a lot. And I’ve heard people say that it could have also come from neurodivergent kids. I know that autistic people can give neurotypical people an uncanny valley feeling sometimes. I’ve always felt connected to modern changeling characters. That idea fascinates me. But also I like the classic creepy evil changeling characters. Changelings are cool. Now I want to go read some old fairytales.

She has some wisdom. XD
I wouldn’t call it that
That’s valid. I just spent 20 minutes researching the Pre-Raphealite art movement because I was wondering if it would be a better term than “medieval” for costume design. Result: it would not.
XD that is very relatable. Sounds like it was a pretty fun rabbit trail to go down though. I love learning about art history

Would she like sky-diving?
Uhhhhhhhhh
I don’t think so. She doesn’t like feeling out of control of her circumstances. She likes being up high in trees and things because it’s calming and the view is peaceful. It makes her feel safe. She’s not thrill seeking. (I very much overthought this question)

I did another character chart last nightAny paint can be finger paint if you don't care enough
Mellissa
“Can we go to the kitchen now? I’m hungry.” Mel pointed to the door that they had come in from, but it had now changed. It was wooden, and had sun bleached paint that was starting to peel. The bottom had an unused cat door and a few splashes of dried mud from the rain. Mel recognized it. It was the door into her house from her backyard. Beyond it was her kitchen. Her stomach growled.

Ellis
“I have never seen a metal man like that before. They sound… unnatural. But I saw a pair of metal feet in my vision. They looked damaged. One was twisted and broken.”

This boy does not have a category for robots in his brain
Any paint can be finger paint if you don't care enough
Ellis
Ellis hesitated for a moment, watching the bird, before jogging to catch up with Moth. When the two were walking side by side, he asked, “How can something that’s not living walk?”
