Ugh. Yes, there are so many different styles of plotting that it gets hard to find one that will work for you. I’ve tried several and have eventually ended up with one that’s a sort of mix between three-act and beats, but using bullet points.

 I have yet to hit 20k in a first draft, so that is goal #1. Then beyond that, yes I am trying to hit 50k. But if I manage to hit 20-25k it’s a win in my book!

Ryuu is very charming and loves to spar in the training rings.

Sparring is a beloved activity here. :-p There are sparring mats inside the gym and pells for dummy practice right outside the gym.

Well… the good news is, your problem is shared by many! There are so many different kinds of plots out there, that I’ve never understood why some people say there is one perfect method. There really isn’t. Most people don’t follow a strict structure and that’s normal.
