      @ellette-giselle

      What are some of your top fantasy books?

      Lord of the Rings, Wingfeather Saga, Chronicles of Narnia, Riyria Revelations (anyone heard of those? they are basically LotR just different storyline and characters 🙂

      If you could spend a week with one of your characters, who would it be and why?

      Alright, after much debating (spending last night staring at my ceiling debating pros and cons of each character), I have decided that Cassian Alastair would be my pick. He is a bookworm who freaks out about research. He is also searching for the truth about God and I would love to just sit down and talk with him, answer any questions he has, and do TONS of research with him about EVERYTHING 🙂

      If you could be siblings with any book character (not your own books) who would it be and why?

      Also had to think long and hard about this one! I think I would choose Rilla Blythe from Anne of Green Gables. I love their huge family and it’s one that I keep reading over and over again. Rilla is one of my favorite characters, plus who doesn’t love Anne and Gilbert?!?!?

      @beth-torres

      I shall also ask a question – Do you have a favorite character to write about from your story? Or perhaps a character that makes you mad every time you have to write for them?

      Hmm… I love writing from Silas Alastair’s perspective because he’s always outdoors and is basically a woodland elf at heart. His character is pretty mysterious and trying to figure out what he’ll say next is an adventure every time! Plus his magic is AWESOME (he can speak the language of trees and various other elements of nature)!!!

      I love all of my characters right now because I am still very much in the planning phases, so (quick disclaimer!) the only writing I’ve done is pre-writing.

      @whalekeeper

      A NaNoWriMo-ish goal is awesome. I did not participate in NaNoWriMo when it was still a thing, but I always wanted to. Is your goal somewhere within 50K words in a time limit, or did you tweak the challenge to your liking?

      The answer to this is directly related to my question about word count, actually. I have yet to hit 20k in a first draft, so that is goal #1. Then beyond that, yes I am trying to hit 50k. But if I manage to hit 20-25k it’s a win in my book!

      Ooh, Kingdom Pen should do a NaNoWriMo spinoff forum for anyone interested 🙂

      Going off your blurb… does your story have an anthropomorphized house? That’s lovely. Whether or not it is anthropomorphized, I love it when the setting is such an important part of the story.

      Yep! House is alive! It took me forever to decide what to do with that, especially because I’ve never written a living breathing manor/inn before. It’s a new adventure for sure but I love living settings so much!

      Would anyone be interested in joining me for an unofficial NaNoWriMo this November?

      @elishavet-pidyon

      Do socks belong on chair feet?

      Heh heh heh. NO!! That’s what they have feet for, to go barefoot.

      What would you do if teleported into the last story you read?

      Freak out, go where I definitely shouldn’t, and die? In that order. Last book I read was Percepliqius from Riyria Revelations and uhhhhhh as much as I’d like to visit with those characters that story was INTENSE. So key word: die.

      @highscribeofaetherium

      What are your favorite hobbies other than writing?

      There are things other than writing?!?!?!? Mind blown!!

      I love to play piano and am teaching myself guitar. I have a total language obsession and over the years have picked up various lingo in (I think about 12 ish?) lots of different languages. And of course, every writers OTHER favorite hobby, reading!!

      Coffee or tea?

      Both. Hands down both. Although I guess if I have to pick, probably coffee. I drink water a bunch, and tea while I’m working on school, but coffee gets me going in the mornings.

      What’s your favorite type of bear?

      Panda bear!! They are so cute!!

        Welcome to the Kingdom! (My gracious, it’s been way too long since I got to say that) I’m a writer of middle-grade and youth noble-bright novels, a full time college student, hand crafting hobbiest, and history/culture/language nerd.

        I’m not sure how many words I’ve written in a single WIP. *Poofs away to look*

        *Poofs back*

        19,300. I’m currently working on a different project though that should be at 50,000 by next Christmas. (Emphasis on “should”)

        Oooo, your WIP sounds fantastic. I love hearing about people’s stories, so if you share any rambles feel free to tag me. I also happen to be a rather busy individual, so I may not respond immediately, but I will read whatever you post. *Bows*

        So here’s a question for you: If you could own a horse for the rest of your life, or ride a dragon for a day, which would it be?

        Anyways, welcome to the Kingdom! I’ll see you around.

          This sounds awesome! He sounds really cool. I also have a character named Silas… but he is an always-annoyed cartographer… lol

          I’m not exactly doing NaNoWriMo…. But I did sign up for this thing called Jesus Writing Month! It was posted in General Writing Discussions. I’ve never done it but it looked fun so I signed up XD. I think there are still slots available (if you ever consider it)! Hehe.

            Hmm… I would totally own a horse for the rest of my life!! This is for several, totally logical reasons, naturally.

            1. To learn to ride a horse is the dream my 7 year old self never got to fulfill

            2. I’m TERRIFIED of heights

            3. If I could only ride a dragon for one day, I’d never want that day to end, let’s be real

            But on the other hand, if I were in a fantasy realm so that I COULD ride a dragon, then I would be in a fantasy realm. You didn’t say I couldn’t live there forever…. 🙂

            What about you? Which would you prefer and why?

              Oof the grumpy cartographers!! Gotta love ’em 🙂 I have a character who travels around the world my story is set in (his name is Wanderer) and he is as annoyed as one could possibly dream a character could be.

                Ahh! I love the name Cassion! I have a Cassion too! He’s one of my favorite characters!

                The more I hear about these brothers, the more I want to read the book! lol

                      Alas, character art is lacking. I want to draw my characters, however I am not a super great artist. I typically pull pictures off of Canva or Google that look like I generally imagine my character to be 🙂 Someday though!!!

                        Those are very logical reasons, yes. *Nods seriously*

                        Ah, she hath thrown back the question at me! Let’s see…*thinking noises*…I’d have to say ride a dragon for a day. I didn’t say I couldn’t also own a horse at some point, and I would love to know what flying on the back of a giant fire breathing reptile would feel like. For book research, of course. *Cough cough*

                          aha! Well, there are several artists on here who often draw characters for others. (I happen to be among them.) Look us up in the art topic if you are interested!
