BEAUTIFUL!!! I love it. XD Working with characters and storylines like these is difficult, but you’re doing an amazing job!
Leon reminds me a lot of a character I’m writing for, actually. They both feel a divide between themselves and God (Though my character kind of did it to himself… Plus, he’s mentally unstable/descending…[Read more]

Yes, we did!!! I won’t torture you with a rant about it. 😉 All I’ll say is that it’s my favorite show they’ve done yet. It even beat Jesus, which I assumed was impossible! Plus, we met the actor who plays John (in Jesus) and Joab (in David); that was pretty cool. XD
Do you have a favorite song from the soundtrack? I think…[Read more]

Yes, it actually is! Biblical fantasy, to be precise. I’m really enjoying writing it.😁
I’ve definitely restarted novels, too!!! It’s so helpful, but hopefully, my skills will eventually develop so that I don’t need to do it as often… It just takes so long… 😂
Ooo… The Hobbit… *puts on nerd hat* Tolkien is THE BEST. Probably m…[Read more]

That is so cool!!! It always makes me happy when I meet other S&S fans. 😁 We just saw their David show a couple weeks ago, so I’m in major musical mode rn… Pretty much been listening to the soundtrack nonstop since seeing it😂
I love the songs y’all chose for your characters! 🙂

Lydia S. replied to the topic How to make a side character more interesting? in the forum Characters 2 years, 5 months ago
Ooo… Good question!
One thought I had while reading your post is where did your character get his wisdom from?
- Is he speaking from experience? If so, how have his experiences shaped his personality? Have they scarred him physically or emotionally?
- Is he passing on advice he’s heard elsewhere? If so, has he himself found the…

@joy-caroline I’ll have to check them out! What is your favourite genre to read/write?
@lydia-s nice! Makes sense, it’s great you can brain dump those scenes. That’s kinda how I started my series (any chance yours is a fantasy too? :P). Ooh those are classics! I haven’t read them yet! I always find it interesting to learn story structure off…[Read more]

I’m doing well, too! School has ended for the year, so that’s nice. 🙂
I haven’t been doing a lot of sit-down-and-focus writing lately, but I’ve been brain-dumping scenes from a series in my spare moments. Hopefully, someday, I can get around to writing it. As for reading, I mainly read for school now, unfortunately, but I enjoyed…[Read more]

Jasmine Godby replied to the topic Do you prefer simple or complex storylines? in the forum Topic of the Week 2 years, 5 months ago
Hmmm, a nice in between? Like it’s complex but not over the top to get completely confused by? I guess it varies from story to story. I hope the stories I write fall into that category too 😀

Well @power I didn’t know how to sword fight when you wrote that comment but I’ve tried it out at a stunt park recently so I know a little bit about it! That knowledge may come in handy, thanks! So … how does this work? Do we just insert things from our characters’ POVs from our own stories? Sorry, I haven’t been on KP in a while, so I’m late to the party.

Hey! I love Harry Potter too! Nice to meet you! Around here, I’m known as Tráhia the Minstrel. I write clean YA Fantasy and am currently writing a no-magic medieval-esque story about two princes from different families who are enemies.

I’d either choose The Mysterious Benedict Society (cause both its major plot twists were spoiled for me before I read it😢) or the Mark of the Lion series by Francine Rivers. Because. The. End. Of. The. Second. Book. Was. So. GOOD.
Honestly, reading that for the first time was epic.
