@lydia-s @nanisnook @daisy-torres
Well, I’m gonna have to jump out at :13. I wrote 314 in a short story for @gracie-j writing prompt contest. 🙂 Last line:
And when I persisted, he grudgingly sent me here, saying if I found some gem, he would crown me king.

@lewilliams Yeah, I get that. I’ve been trying to read more, too!!! Alrighty, *rubs hands together eagerly* I’m always down for giving out awesome recs. I don’t know if any of this will interest you, since I’m normally a loner in the books I enjoy. XD But I just recently read Fawkes by Nadine Brandes and Dust by Kara Swanson and they were SO…[Read more]

@relia I’d choose to have another job as well, either as a dog trainer or a speech pathologist. I love writing, but it could never be more of a side job for me. I’m a hands on person and I would need to be out in the world in order to actually write good things.

That is so incredibly cute! And I think we need a sequel to that short story about the janitor 😛
Occasionally little things I’ve experienced make it into stories of mine, but one thing that happened actually made it into the work I am possibly most proud of, a short story I wrote a few years back. Essentially, my family had lunch…[Read more]

What’s something that happened in real life that made you think, “I have to put that in a story!”
Okay so for me it’s not anything huge, but I thought it was cute when I saw it so yeah, here it is.It was two years ago when I was at a 2 week apologetics summer camp in Colorado. You share a room with three other roommates, have classes most of the…[Read more]

@relia I’m not British, so if there’s any Britishers on here, please feel free to tell me I’m an idiot.
Anyway, I’m Australian and we tend to swear a lot and very similarly to British people, for obvious reasons. “Bl**dy” (censoring because I don’t know everyone on here’s personal views on certain words), h**l and d*mn are all pretty “low level”…[Read more]

Yeah, I get what you mean. Almost anything can be easier or harder depending on the situation.
Have you ever based characters on other people in your life?

I hope you have better days soon. You’re in my prayers. Congratulations on the job offer! That’s wonderful! 😀 I keep feeling it’s kind of weird that we’re all grown up now… 😛 do you?
I’m doing great. Settling in well to married life. 🙂 It has been strange living so far away from my family now, but they visit pretty…[Read more]

I usually force myself to keep going through the scene. Usually all it needs is a few hundred more words and then I’m writing freely again. Having said that, in one of my last WIPs I got really stuck at a large portion and completely skipped four or five chapters and just kept going. It depends on what works for you really.…[Read more]

Welcome back! I’ve not been very active here myself, but if you’re hanging around again, that’s more motivation for me too 😀
I’m drowning. It’s been more stressful lately since I’m being scheduled for a transfer (where to is not known yet). There’s no end to work, but hopefully things will look up after that.
I’m continuing to…[Read more]

Hello! I’m having an absolutely horrible day and just seeing your little username pop up in my emails has made it a little better.
I’m doing…well, ok, but I’ve definitely been better. However, my job is going really well, abd I’ve just been offered a permanent position which is absolutely amazing! My dogs are good! Unfortunately a…[Read more]

Well, most of the time I just push right through it, but if a scene’s coming up and I don’t know what’s gonna happen AND I just don’t feel like writing it, I’ll just put: something really cool happens and move on. I’ve only ever done that once, tho, so it’s no a super common thing for me. 😉

Camille can make you spill all your secrets and publish them? Woah, she’s on a another level. Not necessarily a higher one but definitely a different one. XD
It’s cool how you modeled Tess after yourself! It would be very interesting going to brunch with someone very similar to yourself.
Just a bit curious, do you find it…[Read more]
