A lot of my story ideas are either Biblical fiction or fantasy retellings of Bible stories. 😉
- Judges 6-8 meets Treasure Island. In other words, this is Gideon with pirates. XD This is also my current WIP that I’m writing as part of the Author Conservatory, and I’m IN LOVE. I’ll make a post and share about it somewhere.
- The book of Esther…

@hybridlore Violin is gorgeous. <3 Do you have a favorite song to play?
I play the piano, and I’ve fiddled around with the guitar and the recorder in the part. XP
Spaceships, thieves, and magic – that sounds like a fantastic combination. XD

What kind of characters do you like writing best?

@acancello My latest book obsession is For Whom the Sun Sings. It’s dystopian but without dystopian clichés (i.e. no angsty teenagers and no robots overtaking the world 😜), and it’s. . . truly a masterpiece. <3 It’s about an eleven-year-old boy who can see in a society where every man, woman, and child is blind. The characters are heart-breaking,…[Read more]

@sarafini Yayyy, this is going to be great!
Per the YWW pitch – *clears throat* YWW quite literally changed my life. 🥰 I had been writing for a few years and had scoured the internet for every article on writing out there, yet I wasn’t moving as quickly as I wanted to. Then, after a handful of CWWs, I took the plunge and joined YWW in January of…[Read more]

@whalekeeper Ooh, fascinating topic. <3 I genuinely love good parent-child relationships in fiction. . . whenever they do show up. 😜
I think what you said is on point – it’s not the writing of abusive or absent parents that’s the problem, because those things do exist in real life and fiction should mirror that. The problem is the way it’s…[Read more]

Once again, I come prancing in several months late… *facepalm*Aww, I can understand that. If you ever get the chance to join, though, I can’t recommend the program highly enough! I’ve only been a part of it for 4 months, and I already feel like I got my money’s worth. 😆

@euodia-vision Ack, I thought I had responded to this. I found it online and can’t for the life of me find out who wrote it, but it’s beautiful. <3
The piper piped in the valley
Of rainbow hopes and fears,
A song as old as the Angels
That fell on our idle ears;
And the elfin echoes of laughter
Were lost in the dying day
As we forget, for…[Read more]

@landric Most of the historical fiction I’ve read is in third person, so unless you have a strong reason to go with first, I might stick with third? Especially since that’s what your audience is expecting, and they probably like it better. 😋 But ooh, journal entries + third person sound excellent!
