Love your new profile picture, @anne-of-lothlorien
Also, the quote is from The Scarlet Pimpernel to chauvelin.
So do I get to go now, or do we wait for you to confirm we are correct? Anyways, here’s my next one.
“So you’re bravely refusing to fight a swordsman half your age?”

@dragon-snapper I grin to myself for the next half of a day, generally. And bounce up and down when I am on my own. To the others I may mention I got a grand idea which is going to be really cool, but since they don’t know the background of my stories, an explanation generally falls flat, if I try at all.

@Kate-Flournoy I don’t freak out anymore. That was just the first time.
And yes to scaring yourself at night… Like going downstairs in the dark and then thinking about a hand reaching out of the shadows… *shudders*

@Ethryndal I don’t generally do that, but sometimes I’ll take what is happening and use it to make a scene more realistic. Like once I was in charge of the house while Mom and Dad were gone overnight, and all the creaking through the night freaked me out, then I used the emotions from that ‘scene’ in a similar scene in a book where a princess is…[Read more]

@dragon-snapper No, but I’ll be formatting an ebook for another half-hour or so.

You know you are a writer when your brother comes into your room, blood dripping from his finger, and asks if you want blood for pictures…

@winter-rose I finished my chapter…around 1000 to 2000 words. Somewhere in there. 😉 I’m done for the night now.

@winter-rose I’ll be writing on and off for the next few hours too. 😉

I am a Conservative Republican/Independent. By which I mean that I generally vote Republican though I may not always agree with them and they seem to be getting more liberal by the year.
As for the elections this year…I don’t think it’s one I’ll ever forget. First Cruz and Trump, then Trump and Hillary, then election day itself and everything…[Read more]

@ethryndal *gasps* I’m known as ‘that’ person now? But I…well, I guess, that is somewhat true. A sword, a bow, several daggers… What is it with my obsession with weapons and cloaks?
NaNo is hard, but not that hard. It’s more just keeping going for a whole month. 😉

Welcome, @ethryndal! And no, I’m not late. I arrive precisely when I mean to…or whenever I get on her and realize I’ve not been answering or greeting people like I ought to be. 😉 I love Tolkien too.
I’m doing NaNo this year for the first time. And as for other things I like…dress up. Reading. Music videos…

@anne-of-lothlorien I write in both first and third person. I love them both. Some stories fit first person and some third person. Then there is Scarlet Rose where I flip between first person, present tense, and third person past tense. It works really well. 🙂

@anne-of-lothlorien Sorry, flat out of dark chocolate. Almost out of Pringels now too, which is my salty snack of choice.
I am up to 20,000 words though and I’m hoping to write an extra 1000 or so today so I will have more freedom later on in the month around Thanksgiving…

@anne-of-lothlorien I so want to read a book like that. And, if no one writes it, I may have to undertake the task myself. Someday. 😉
As for my bad guys, I like to make them quite bad and yet human at the same time. I want the readers to be able to see why they made the choices they did, and how the choices got them to where they are now.…[Read more]
