Kads replied to the topic What's your biggest strength and weakness as a writer? in the forum Topic of the Week 4 years, 11 months ago
@kathleenramm My biggest weakness is DEFINITELY staying consistent. I’m a pantser, and about 80% of my ideas happen as I’m writing. So when I don’t have ideas and am uninspired, I literally can’t write. And that makes writing VERY hard sometimes. *sighhh* I need to be better about just WRITING and not waiting for Miss Muse to come sit on my…[Read more]

hola!!
glad u found it interesting!!! Just to let you know, btw, it wasn’t Peter who brought about the Holy Ghost, so there’s no confusion. He just taught on it lol
I do believe that someone can be lost after being saved. There is no once saved always saved, otherwise there is no purpose for church. No purpose for serving Christ aft…[Read more]

Also yes I’m so glad God still does miracles woop woop!!
have you ever heard of the Azuza street revival?! Some of those testimonies are INCREDIBLE!! I want to (and have seen) miracles take place that are beyond INCREDIBLE!! People walking who were in wheelchairs, people being able to hear who were deaf, etc! One testimony is of a woman many m…[Read more]

Sorry, but I must respectfully disagree. You see, we cannot take John the Baptist and Jesus not speaking with other tongues themselves as meaning we do not need to. You see, the Holy Ghost (Jesus’ spirit) DID NOT COME live within us until Jesus was CRUCIFIED.
Acts 1:4-5“And, being assembled together with them, commanded the…[Read more]

Welp, I’m very late to the party, but I thought I’d pop in anyway.
I think that when things like what you’re experiencing happen, drafts show their beauty. 🙂 I know with every draft of my novels/short stories, they become better. Perhaps if you tried finishing the story, taking a bit of a break, and then diving in again, you’d…[Read more]

Yeah, I like birds! I don’t watch them or anything, but I enjoy learning about them. I used the chickadee’s “Fee-bee” call in one of my school papers. It’s so fun how it can be interpreted to mean the name “Phoebe;” perfect fuel for a writer. 😉
Aww, thanks! 😀
Ooo… That sounds amazing!!! I love the idea of writing in some of the “pu…[Read more]

Issabelle Perry replied to the topic How to know if your book should be a standalone or series? in the forum General Writing Discussions 4 years, 11 months ago
I really just second what everyone else is saying!! For me, it depends a lot on what genre it is and how the story ends. So for a fantasy novel, I’m gonna really highly consider a series since it’s common for the genre, but for my contemporary romance novel I’m writing, I’ve been going back and forth over if I want to do one or not.…[Read more]

I am pretty much going to echo what a lot of the other gals said! Honestly, I simply decide based on if I have more stories to tell. For my romances, there is only going to be one book. I don’t have enough material to stretch it out any longer. My fantasy world is the opposite. Right now, I’m at five novel ideas (one in the pro…[Read more]

@joy-caroline Personally, if I think the first characters/plot could interact in any way during the next book (Supposing the second book has different characters) then I’ll try and weave a good way to bring back my last charries and create some kind of a bond or friendship there, thus making it a series. However, if it all occurs in the same…[Read more]

Katherine replied to the topic How to know if your book should be a standalone or series? in the forum General Writing Discussions 4 years, 11 months ago
@joy-caroline I guess it would be if you feel like more needs to be told about the character or the world. Or maybe if the overall story plot needs more room than one book.
I’ll give some examples. For my spy novel, The Black Cat, I feel like one book is not enough to explore my MC. It needs more than one novel to show Delano growing as a…[Read more]
