I was ALWAYS into history, (we were given history books to read as story books)it was just a few years ago that I got into historical accuracy.

Ok, let’s see…
The American Girl Stories: they were meant for a young audience, and I see them as such. I still like them, they’re just….
Little One, Maid of Israel: Biblical fiction taken flight. Sweet story, not satisfied with the ending.
But honestly, it’s been a while since I reread anything beyond classics like Northanger Abbey and The…[Read more]

Ok, so I was just kicked off the KP site maybe, five times? Around 4:20 Central Time repeatedly it did this, whenever I went to change forums, and twice trying to get in.
Every time it did this up came a page saying Internal Error 500 and to notify the managers of KP about when it happened and what I was doing.
So… this seems like the right…[Read more]

Thank you! 😀 He turned out so sweet.
@anatra23 Yeah, eyes can be hard to do. I think this was one of my best attempts at the “photo” look yet. For what it’s worth, there are bunches of step-by-step images online for eyes that I found transformed the way my sketches looked. That and copying detailed photographs.
Sorry I have taken so…[Read more]

Thank you. 🙂 (I’m afraid the inner essayist came out in that post) Yeah, I love classics, but we need more good books on the shelf than those written sixty+ years ago.

Why do I write? I’m not sure. I’ve actually pondered this many times; wondering if I need to be writing. Still, I haven’t been writing like this for long, so some things aren’t ironed out yet.
I started writing because I saw a lack of good, true (fun) books to be had. All the newer authors seemed to either be trailing off the deep end or leaving…[Read more]

Hi, everyone! I like the Wingfeather Saga, although it is one of those books I have to find the lessons in or I can’t get out of it/enjoy it.
I also love the ending: the power behind it is mind blowing. There is no doubt in my mind that Janner comes back, (I mean, it’s fiction. The ending is as you like it. [Okay, I know that’s an annoying way to…[Read more]

Thank you so much! Yeah, I see. In my mind’s eye I see him standing there a moment perplexed while all the other Novak warriors chase the kids… But I didn’t make that very clear did I? 😉 I’ll work on that!
Thank you again!(and yeah, a lot of my ideas center around emotion)

I haven’t seen it, but I’ve heard of it from a very trusted source that is was fantabulous.

Ok, yeah! Thanks, that probably works better, and might help limit the reader to the protagonist’s view point. Anything else? 🙂

Mila was screaming. The ropes about my wrists bit when I tried to move, holding me helpless in the blackened snow. I twisted my head to find her, but all I could see was the boot of a marauder.
More screams. I had to do something!
I could do nothing.
Tears pricked at my eyelids, but crying wouldn’t help anything. I blinked them away.
“Take me,…[Read more]

So, I don’t personally know your characters, but from life, books, and from what they did in the Bible, here are some ideas to help get those creative juices flowing.
- Fear of darkness(not the dark)
- Fear of disillusionment
- Fear of the violent man
- Fear of failing
- Fear of not measuring up
- Fear of spiders (okay, maybe not)
- Fear of…

Oh, those character struggles are very good. Your story line gives that pleasurable ache deep inside by which one knows it’s good.
Amen!

Oh, yay! I love it too! It sounds SO good! Like a book I’d read till four in the morning and have to stop at random parts to soak up every implication. Is it off the story of David?
By the by, that’s a beautiful cover/photo.

Ok, hi! This is so exciting! Anyway to make them relatable…
Have you ever noticed how personal the last verses in the Epistles are? They speak of Tituses and Demases like, wonder of wonders, they were real people. 😉 For example, II Timothy 4:13, Paul asked Timothy to bring him a cloak he left at Troas and some books and parchments. These New…[Read more]
