By the way, Vesper is about eighteenish.
Vesper
Corvina was behaving erratically. Some sort of internal conflict…?
“As if,” she muttered.
“Um, sorry?”
Corvina spun around and the light disappeared, seemingly swallowed by thick shadows. Coming from Corvina. Vesper cried out at the sudden change. The blackness…[Read more]

Sorry it’s been so long. Life is crazy. By the way, happy Thanksgiving!
From what I understand, Corvina has left Viola and Hans.
Vesper
He stood there for a moment, weighing his options. Hans and Viola were still stalking the same group of people— he still didn’t understand why they were stalking the group…[Read more]

Vesper
So one was a Hydra agent, whatever that meant, one was a loud oaf, and one was a mystery. That cleared things up a lot.
“Hello there, little girl.” The one called Viola waved. Vesper turned and followed Viola’s gaze to a small girl with hair so bright it almost shone with a light of its own. She looke…[Read more]

Vesper
The black-haired one and the man did not look too friendly.
“Hello there. Who are you?” The other woman asked.
A failure. A disappointment. “Vesper of the Silver River, Crown Prince of Ulmire, Knight of Eudor, and Paladin of the Golden Blade.” Oof. That was a mouthful. “It was I who slew the Great Ser…[Read more]

I don’t really do character playlists, but I do listen to a lot of music that makes me think. “This fits this moment perfectly!”… even if I haven’t written that particular scene yet.
If I even write a scene with impending doom, Tchaikovsky’s Marche Slav is a pretty good fit. (Especially the opening)

Hello there!
Does anyone have any experience with video editing? Namely DaVinci Resolve?
This past weekend I did a cinematography workshop, and now I am ready to edit the short film, so any tips and knowledge will be welcome.

Vesper
He stumbled down the hall, officially lost. Perhaps in more ways than one. He grimaced as pain shot up his leg. Great. Just great.
His ear pricked. What was that? A snuffling… muttering.. boar? He followed the sound. Hidden among shadows were three—well, shadowy—figures. He paused. Should he turn aroun…[Read more]

I have a character who could meet Hans and Viola. His name is Vesper. Where are Hans and Viola right now?

E. M. Trepke replied to the topic Does anyone else write sci-fi? in the forum Sci-Fi 2 years, 1 month ago
Your sci-fi sounds cool! It would be interesting writing characters that are cells. I had never thought of that!
My sci-fi is set in space in the future. The big premise is that after humanity developed super advance space flight and terraforming technology, pretty much everyone left Earth. Now, hundreds of years later, no one…[Read more]

I only know that a hurricane hit Nova Scotia because a friend’s mom was there, otherwise I am usually completely oblivious to the weather in the east.
You would think, living on the Ring of Fire, that we would have natural disasters, but there hasn’t even been an earthquake in years. There’s been flooding, forest fires, rain……[Read more]

I know Vesper won’t likely be in this group (due to its size), but he has some family issues too. Let’s see… his mother is mad, and his father is evil (it’s a bit more complicated than that, but I’m trying to keep it simple here). Vesper was always trying to prove himself to his father, but not measuring up. His father had been…[Read more]

Oh, ok. The one that hit Nova Scotia began with an H, I think. (Not that I would know much about hurricanes, being a north-west girl) We get wind and rain on the Island, but no hurricanes.

Gotcha.
It would be interesting if he joined Corvina and the Hydra agents (Viola and Hans?) (for certain reasons). Btw, what have those three been up to lately? -

Hullo everyone!
I think I’m going to pull out Hesh and throw in a different character who needs a bit of development. Here are his specs:Name: Vesper
Appearance: tallish, silvery eyes, pale hair
Background: heir to the throne of Ulmire, squire to a knight of Eudor… I’ll reveal more in his POVs.
mwahaha! 😏Now here’s Vesper:
Vesper rubbed…[Read more]

I love your WIP idea! Hope is a thing long-missing in the dystopian genre, and I’m glad you’re introducing it! Your characters sound interesting!
My reader brain is intrigued…This hurricane I’m hearing about… is it the one that reached as far North as Nova Scotia?

Sorry for the late feedback, but WOW. I know next to nothing about these characters, but I could feel their grief like a punch in the gut. Very effective. Good job! 👍
I haven’t yet had to write the death of any of my MCs, but when I do I think I will need a tissue fort too.

E. M. Trepke replied to the topic What do you love most about your current WIP? in the forum Topic of the Week 2 years, 1 month ago
Sadly, my WIP has fallen by the wayside for a few months, but I have recently remembered how much I love my world. Even though I am still in the developmental stage of my WIP, I love how my world and characters are growing. My world started as a couple seeds, but now it is becoming a garden. I am excited to see where it goes. 🙂
