Okay, completely unconnected, and I’ll disappear after this because I have never read KotLC, but…
If elves are vegetarian, why do they hunt deer in the Hobbit?
I mean, I am the person who has never seen the movies and despite not living under a rock still clings to a black haired, green eyed Legolas. I have also only read two stories from the…[Read more]

It’s definitely been a while! A lot of things have conspired to keep me off KP. (Mainly College and Bible Quizzing) I’m still here though. How have you been?
Thank you, I await thy assessment in eagerness.

@freedomwriter76 @koshka @sunny421 @godlyfantasy12 @Idon’tknowwho @anyone
So I’ve finally managed to write the rough draft for the opening scene of book one of project Heirs of Ashes. I desperately need thoughts and critiques on it, and ideas for the plot. Really just anything will probably help.
For those who don’t know, HoA is an ad…[Read more]

I’m dumbfounded. This story is getting heartwrenching. (Which is, I suppose the equivalent of saying, “good job!” XD)
I do find it interesting how you are contrasting two different alcoholics. It foreshadows trouble if Leon doesn’t find healing and repentance. •_•

Let’s see….
Trippin
Silence reigned over the shore. The waves boke with muted care upon the rocks, and the wind watched them flee away listlessly. Even the birds in the trees on the bluff above only dared to whisper. But then again, the best gossip is shared under one’s breath.
The best gossip, like a new addition of matchwood to the…[Read more]

Oh, he’s really fascinating! I enjoy how his backstory is intertwined with his present.
Does his scarring play a half symbolic role? For instance, I also have a character who bears intense burn scars from an incident when he was a child. (Although they’re on his hands, feet, and neck [the burns on his face were light and did not scar])…[Read more]

Wow. It’s been a bit since my last post on here.
The twins.
The island was silent but for the crashing waves and the distant music of wind in trees. Zlatan blinked up at the crescent moon, pale in the star cast sky.
“The lady smiles tonight.” Vulka’s voice was low. His brother rumbled in agreement. A soft murmur of some fluttering night bird…[Read more]

Hi! (I’m Elishavet [obviously] and I don’t remember if I’ve met or otherwise greeted you because my brain just will not let me, so welcome to the Kingdom of Pen! It’s an honor to meet you, hopefully for the first time.)
I adore how unique your world is, even as you employ tropes and tools used elsewhere. It’s obviously your creation, and I…[Read more]

*comes out of the shadows where I have lurked in recent days*
Intriguing story. It doesn’t sound like anything I’ve read before, although considering that most of my favorite authors are long dead that may not be worth mentioning.
At any rate, I do not believe I have properly met you either. I am Koshka, a writer of middle-grade animal…[Read more]

Leon! My darling Leon! Noooooooo…
And Riker! That’s not true! Both of you need so much healing. And prayer. And just, ugh.
Seriously Leon, try coffee. It’s much better for you.

That was so horrid and so sweet. I feel sorry for all those characters. So many emotions….
BUT ISABEL IS ADORABLE AND HEART WRENCHING. War is never so dark as when its affect is seen in children. But it’s never so full of hope as when it’s seen through their eyes.
Also, the line where Leon wondered if she’d recognize him…[Read more]

WIPs!!! Huzzah!!
Thanks for tagging me, @freedomwriter76 ! I don’t know how much I’ll be on, considering this is the last half of the FALL 1 semester at the college I’m at, but I’ll certainly be interested in what is going on here.
Ah, yes, I think I’ll spy on this site and maybe join in from the shadows from time to time.

Are you talking about before Riker turns himself in, or the end of the series?
In the former case, I’d like to ask if Riker would even go to Leon? He’s already asked for forgiveness time and again.…[Read more]

Leon seeking Riker is much more powerful – even if he doesn’t succeed. He might not know where exactly to look, but Leon looking for Riker shows his heart. I like it.
Also, another thing I’ve been meaning to mention to you: I was reading an autobiography that made me think of you. It was by Benjamin Urshan, a minister born in…[Read more]

Awesome! Scripts are so much fun to write.
I’ve worked on two plays, one of which was a five minute skit for a homeschool end of year promotion and the other…a full length play…maybe will get finished one of these days.
We wrote the skit in a sort of half pantomime where the only character which actually speaks is the narrator (a…[Read more]
